I spoke w/ the local Lego store mgr, and they said that there will only be one set this year, not two parts.Hodgeman wrote:This set looks really nice. As many have said, it will fit in well with the Winter Village sites.
Is there going to be a second one in December as there was last year?

Re: Shop @ Home and LEGO stores USA
I got the invite last year for my local store and it was a bit of a wash as to how "great" it was. Last year's list was based on the top 25 spenders, this year's is top 35. Not sure how I didn't get on this year's, but oh well. So last year's event, you got one of the Holiday mini box sets...

Re: Target $10 Gift Card w/purchase of any set $39.99 or mor
So these sets are very clearly NOT excluded in the ad, but they don't have the shelf tags so they don't qualify? Is this a new policy at Target that the shelf tags trump the weekly ad? This is almost as laughable as the Toys R Us big toy book coupons. I don't think this is the case, their system is...

Re: Target $10 Gift Card w/purchase of any set $39.99 or mor
The target store I went to today had signs under specific sets advertising $10 gift cards with purchase. My store wouldn't honor the ad for the Orc Forge and Zombies set stating that it had to be the sets w/ the tags. I then showed them how not all sets have tags and still ring up w/ the $10gc. The...

Re: [USA] Wal-Mart 60% off LEGO City The Mine Set
Can't find any in SoCal. I don't know if I want to deal with Target's price match even though they shouldn't be an issue as it is a legitimate ad and price as I have validated it in store. But, there is always the managers who want to go against company policy. Which WalMart did you try? I went to ...

I will say this about what marvel needs to get on the ball with, Fantastic four with silver surfer and Big Galactus build! I love this idea I think Fox still has the liscense to The Fantastic Four, so as long as Fox has those certain Marvel properties, it might be a little challenge to bring those ...

Same. It's as if there was a price tag on the corner and it was ripped off. I'm totally fine w/ it though as long as the innards are in tact. :)octick wrote:My box was scuffed up and missing portions of box's artwork.

Actually, I used the coupon today. They never said anything about it not being stackable, and my receipt shows the discount. VMF or not, I am NOT paying over retail for current LEGO sets. I would have walked out right there and then. Stephanie I confirm what Stephanie said, the 15% off worked. And ...

Yea, Black Friday for Lego stores stink. The only plus is the scratch card if you get more than 20%, but most are all 10%, and the free set should be cool.
I hope the set is in line w/ the ones from last year. Those were fun.

I think this set looks "terrible" b/c Lego decided to put this set in the $40 category. This should have been in the $60-90 set range.
For a $40 set, I think it looks serviceable.

Is the cargo train worth it just for the train tracks themselves? I don't own any train sets, but in do plan on getting the Horizon Express and would like to motorize it.
