My theory from the (2011)1st and (2012)2nd series is 1. Get as many sets out as possible to market knowing in the long run they can make a hefty profit because it's their own license. 2. Spinners are expensive to make for Legos lastibility. 3. Dragon wings are not very economical to produce. Anyone ...

I think the spinner is expensive to make and they can make more of a profit with larger sets. Just look at the dragons. Those wings are not very economically, hence the short production runs. I think their being nice to still sell the Fire Temple. Won't make it till the end of the year I bet.

On a side note, this years spinner sets are almost extinct from every major retailer. Well, except from maybe TRU. I don't there going to be restocked. Crazy, either they didnt produce that many or all the parents snatched them up. Perhaps a bit of both.

I know the store by me had many of the sets mentioned above, but they were all full price and no clearance about a week ago. I will be surprised if they are now on clearance all of a sudden. Anyone experience this?

I assume that they make more money with the sets? The good thing is you are still able to get the Minifigs in other sets. The bad thing, is the spinner and cards are limited, and assume they will increase the value of sold out spinners. I've never understood why certain sets are more valuable than o...

I think around 239.99. Piece count is in the range of 2127. This is according to Brickipedia. Maybe worth a buy with a TRU sale down the road with the Imperial shuttle? I'm sure it would be limit one with B1G50 off.

I think the question is, how hard is the molds for the spinner to make. Being that there are many colors they use for these, they probably are pproducing short runs, hence the out of production. While they still produce the figures, the spinner card backs are going to be short runs in my opinion. Li...

Kai is now out. My prediction was right. High demand, short supply. Ninjago for select sets is turning into the Skylanders craze.

Out of stock again. On a side note Kai's Cycle is back in stock. My guess is it will be out in 12 hours or less.

I would assume this is because of the matching of the Walmart rollback.

Star Wars appears right now to be filling most of the shevles. Appeal is dissapating a bit.

As of today, Lego 9561 Kai ZX is in the Top 10 in Amazons Hot 100 toys. It's Only Feb. This is the benchmark going forward. Lego really has something going here. This is all profit for Lego, unlike the licensed themes. Although, they need more unique pieces like the dragons and less trucks and stuff...

I must say, I'm very intrigued by Ninjago for some reason. Why don't they have all the spinners on the shop at home? I picked up a few lighting dragons yesterday as they were to good to pass up at TRU. I wish they lower the price on the fire temple, 131.99 is a bit much.
