Re: what are advantages to shopping at LEGO stores?

Thanks for the responses. The grab bags sound interesting. Getting mini-figs would be a lot easier this way. Do they carry polybags? Instead of driving to 3 Targets looking for a $4 item, could I find the same sets there? I'm pessimistic about finding good deals on clearance Lego at the store. I thi...

what are advantages to shopping at LEGO stores?

I apologize if this has already been posted but I did not see anything specifically related to my questions. With a LEGO store opening in the Cleveland area soon, I was wondering how my family would benefit from this? I'm not an AFOL, just buy them for my son. So he only gets legos at x-mas and bday...

Re: New Lego Store Opening Up Near Cleveland

Finally a Lego store that's not 3 hours away. http://stores.lego.com/en-us/Beachwood/events.aspx?CMP=EMC-SH2011MarchNLUS&HQS=brandretailstore It's about time! I've been waiting for more news on this. But I'm also a little disappointed. A limited edition mini-figure set? What the hell? Other pla...

Re: [USA] Target - Lego Games Clearance

Thanks for the info. I can also confirm this sale at my target in the northeast ohio area. The games did have the red clearance stickers on them. Picked up 2 Monser4 and the last Magikus. We already have Magikus but this way my son will have one of each to keep as a game and one of each to use as pa...

Re: LEGO 8803 Collectable Minifigures Series 3 Availability

I got lucky with S1 and S2 and found them quickly and got one of each. But I have not even seen an empty box for S3 in my area, Cleveland OH. Not at TRU, Target, Walmart or Borders and I have multiple stores in the area. I did get an email the other day and I think it was Borders advertising them fo...

Re: Time to hit the Goodwill!

I had also heard of Target sending their stock, including Lego, to Goodwill. I stop by my local store when I'm grocery shopping next door. I never expected to see any. I pick up a random book for my son sometimes. A few weeks ago my Goodwill had a few boxes. Cant remember which ones now except for t...

Re: What the?...Happy Meal toys?

I'm 36 and I remember Lego/McD doing polybagged city sets when I was younger. They were legit polybag type, not the junk plastic figures thats been done more recently. My son likes the Racer sets they put out not too long ago. They only came with three pieces but the different racer pieces were inte...

Re: [USA] Wal-Mart Clearance

So all of the watches are $7? I was at walmart but the tags only listed Yoda and Woody at $7.

Nothing but dust on the shelves at my walmarts. I have a feeling it was because of x-mas and not because of clearance.

Re: USA Target.com Battle of Endor $69.99 Free Shipping

Don't forget to go through the AAA website if you're a member. That's another 10% off. Then I paid by Target redcard for another 5% off. Couldnt get REDCARDQ code to work, maybe because of my other discounts but H6GUONV5 code to work. I have to stay off this website for a while. I'm buying things I ...

Re: Lego Store - Downtown Disney - Orlando

The only Lego store I've been to is the one at Disney while on a business trip. I wasn't impressed but I didn't have my son with me for youthful enthusiasm. They had current items (at that time) in stock and a few minor sales going on. The store had the build a mini-fig station. The prices are kind ...

Re: Ninjago Lego build TRU - Saturday December 11th

Took my son to this yesterday. It was different than the other TRU Lego events we've been to. The one worker in charge of the event was not a TRU employee (she was dressed in a suit). I did not ask but got the impression that she was hired to come to the stores and explain Ninjago (by Lego?). It was...

Re: [USA] TRU NinjaGo Promo Polybag

Took my son to the Ninjago TRU event yesterday. It wasn't the hectic crowd it usually is, maybe because of the holiday. The worker still had a box full when we left. So maybe that's how they're getting rid of the extra.

Re: Dark Ages

Boy do I feel old. I old got back into Lego because of my kids. My dark age was 25 years (1984-2009). I've got you beat by a few years. Approx. 1980 - 2009. Started buying Legos for my son last year. I've stated on other posts that I'm not an AFOL but I do enjoy sharing this with my son. I ...

Ollie's Bargain Outlet, an chain of outlet stores in NorthEast Ohio, has a Best-Lock Battleship (Pirates) for $19.99. 450 pieces. I typed a long winded post about my thoughts on this but got timed out because I was watching football. To summarize my post that didn't get posted: My son & I like TLC. He's getting a ridiculous amount for x-mas thanks to this site. It seems as though MegaBlock has some more realistic looking s...
