Real Canadian Superstore Battlepack bogo 50%

Through Thursday RCSS has buy one get one half off on 2013 battlepacks (Republic vs. Sith and Clones vs. Droidekas) which equals 25% off each. Also 20% off on all other Star Wars Lego. Nothing too special, but one of the better deals currently on battlepacks because you get a few points if you have ...

Re: Canada LEGO Black Friday Sales

It's simply a matter of well established experience that the SW Advent calendars collapse in price each year to 25% of their individual value. Buying multiples for more than that to resell is very risky if you're seeking to maximize your return. Of course, if you actually want to you know, use the a...

Still barely worth it even at that price. The Star Wars advent calendars always clog up the shelves this time of year, not sure why they keep making them.

Re: Canada LEGO Black Friday Sales

My local TRU was out of the Attack of the Wargs set for 50% off, but Target price matched and gave an additional $5 off! Got this set for $25, which is such a steal. I'm not crazy about the tree and catapault but it's good for parts. The wargs, orcs, and dwarves in this set are awesome and trying t...

15% off coupon cannot be stacked with the $10/$20 off coupons... at least they couldn't last week. It may seem to work at first but won't actually apply at checkout.

Re: Canada LEGO Black Friday Sales

For my part, I will gladly spend my dollars elsewhere. As odd as this sounds but in comparison to the last years I have not spend nearly as much at S@H... with Amazon Canada now selling LEGO sets and the deals at Amazon UK it's not that hard to find better deals... That'll teach em. Nothing sticks ...

Re: Galaxy Squad 50% off at Target Canada

Confirmed the sale is good to go at my Target... was hoping the 50% off would apply on top of the "clearance" price sticker already on all the boxes (about a 25% reduction off MSRP) but lady at checkout wouldn't buy it because it scanned in at 50% off MSRP only. At Christmas I don't have t...

lol the whole Lego Shop-at-home website is kaput. So is phone customer support which doesn't recognize any order or VIP #s and probably has a 10 year wait to speak to a representative, who's computers are probably also down. Gotta love we (humanity's) stampede to consume itself to destruction.

Re: 2013 Week 4 LEGO Bricktober at Toys R Us Canada

I'm just getting sick of collecting material things, period. Chasing this stuff becomes exhausting after a while at the pace they release new sets and provides kind of a hollow/vapid sense of enjoyment past a certain point. Probably gonna sell off my big Lego collection eventually.

True but you could probably get all those minifigs individually off bricklink for $12 inc. shipping and they'd be the better plastic.

Re: TRU Canada Bricktober 2013 + Free October Events

I wonder if these are all made in China with inferior plastic like the old minifigure sets were? If so, they're probably not worth trying to get unless people plan to resell them or something.

Re: Lego Simpsons in 2014?

Simpsons are totally NOT appropriate for a kid's toy or the LEGO brand. There's blood, swearing and tons of suggestive and inappropriate stuff in that show. Can't believe LEGO would approve this but won't do say a military theme.

Soooo many Clone wars remakes lately. But, I am glad to see this one in particular all the same because I wanted two of the original for my Clone army but never bit the bullet.

Re: Amazon Canada Now has a Toy Department (with LEGO)

As others have mentioned this is great news. I can only hope they pack any Lego orders better than several of the books I have ordered from them in the past. A few hard cover books arrived at my place with badly dented corners, and other items were loose in the boxes. Amazon doesn't even use boxes ...

Re: Creator Expert LEGO 10234 Sydney Opera House

Beautiful looking set. Horrible, ridiculous price. I could get a Playstation 4 for only $20 more. Lego really needs to re-examine their price to value equation, especially now that they're increasingly outsourcing to China, there's less justification for their pricing model.

Re: 10236 Ewok Village UCS LEGO Star Wars Set

Yeah ghosts would've been very cool. The ending of Return of the Jedi, with the rebel pilots and celebration and all, is the only time the ewok village was actually cool. Otherwise the ewok village was basically the Gungan City of the original trilogy - a Disney (in this case Swiss Family Robinson) ...
