Re: Lego imitators and clones for charity

Interesting point. When I pick up items for my toy drive donation I usually pick out things I know are good (legos for example) as they are universal in acceptance for both age brackets and gender and something I would get for a kid I would know personally. In good times I get the clearance in the o...

Re: [REVIEW] LEGO Star Wars: The Visual Dictionary

I ordered mine from Amazon shortly after reading this review and it came in last wednesday. Not as extensive as the Big lego book I got a while back but its a definate keeper in regards to the SW collection. My Luke is still in the bubble pack so I know where to find him should I do any SW:IV MOC wo...

Re: More walmart bundles online

That's not bad, it's basically buy "Battle of Endor" and get "Luke's Landspeeder" for free! Shucks and I already picked up both. :( Iti s true the Landspeeder was hard to find so I readily picked up one when It was in stock. Now every visit it is the out of stock item on the she...

Re: [REVIEW] Space Police II 6813 Galactic Chief

The epaulettes first appeared in the initial Pirates offerings in 1989, but have seen a lot of use since then. Most recently in Space Police Central, in fact, for the newest iteration of the SP Chief! Pirates offerings? What do you mean by that? The classic pirates theme released in 1989 have these...

WTT: Prince of Persia Minifigs

I checked out the clearance aisles a few times and I really enjoy the structure pieces in these PoP sets. I have for trade and I am hoping on a 1:1 exchange for those that are interested. (5) Dastan (4) Market Salesman (3) Princess Tamina (4) Asoka (1) Gool (1) Nizam (1) Seso (1) Tamah (2) Alamut gu...

Re: [REVIEW] Space Police II 6813 Galactic Chief

This was my first set in this series. Rather simplistic and lacked a control panel plate usual found in all space sets even poly bags. Though some star wars sets also do without or just grill pieces. I liked the mini figure and I believe it was the only non pirate set to have the shoulder pads. I re...

Re: UFO Theme Facts, Fiction, and Opinions

I wasn't aware of the controversy but they were a favorite theme at the tail end of my collection as a kid. Favorite was the suits and Helmets, the Trans-green or trans-red Alien heads, and the saucer pieces. My first exposure was the 6816 Cyber Blaster that appeared on the racks before the other se...

Re: This is a thread dear to my heart.

It is extremely rare to find Legos at yard sales, flea markets, church sales or other such venues in my part of the country. It is probably due to the high price of the toy and they tend to stay with in the family or its the last thing parted with when one clears out the closets or attics. I have co...

Re: What lego did I buy today thread

Picked up the Endor set and got a $10gc and free playmat. Going back one last time for the at-at and use two $10gc from earlier this month to drop the price to $89.99 get another placemat and add the placemats and some undecided bogo50 sets to my toy drive bin. I might opt to get some clearance or b...
