Re: [USA] TRU 25-30% off Lego

I was just at TRU here in San Jose. I got a city traveller and the farmer/dog/pig impulse set. They did not stack the deals, and in fact both were full price when he scanned them. I had to fight to get 30% off. He was saying the BOGO50 deal was for larger sets. I also snapped shots of these deals. N...

[USA] Kmart $5 off $50 online or in store

I was browsing through the iPhone app called GeoQpons and found two coupon codes for Kmart. Code "KMSPRING" gets you $5 off $50 or more at Kmart.com. Expires 4/16. Code "KMART5OFF50" gets $5 off $50 "in Kmart", which I guess means in store nFor expiration it only says f...

Re: Target sale- galactic enforcer

For the record, I saw a few Galactic Enforcers at one of two Walmarts in my area for 60% off. They were in a clearance area separate from the Lego aisles with a bunch of other random toys. Your milage will definitely vary on this. And this was about 2-3 weeks ago now.

Idea: Deal Calendar

First of all, this is a pie-in-the-sky idea. This may not be feasible; I'm just throwing it out there. At any given time, there are multiple sales going on. If you even take a look at just TRU, they have overlapping sales, advertised and unadvertised sales. And the sales usually have a certain timef...

Re: Borders Spamming Email

Yeah I get at least one email a day from Borders. The one thing I haven't figured out is their "overwhelming offers" thing. It's like some sort of woot.com / groupon clone. I tried to obtain one of the deals once and it involved something like points or I wasn't early enough... I just gave...

Re: Lego Podcasts

I was just Googling Lego podcasts, and ran into this old thread, lol. I listened to the most recent episode of the LAML podcast: http://radio.laml.org/ . It looks like they tend to have long hiatuses, and the most recent episode is from this past October. But that episode I listened to was actually ...

Re: [USA] TRU 25-30% off Lego

The Ambush in Cairo set is probably not widely available, right? I haven't seen any Indy sets at a B&M store in months.

Re: 3 in 1 sets?

Yeah it seems to be a thing that happens in Europe. Prices there are significantly higher than in the US, and availability is scarce in some places, so I think they do bundles sometimes to give them a chance to get sets with less insane prices (but probably still insane anyway).

Re: Groupon: Ebay gift card $7 for $15 value

The second eBay groupon "purchase" didn't get me a groupon or email. Looks like they didn't charge my card either, so I guess it didn't happen. Strange that they wouldn't prevent you or send an email saying sorry.

I guess it's a gamble. They sent me 60 loose packets, and my distribution didn't match what was reported for a sealed box. Other people have reported getting loose packets as well.

I was able to buy another eBay groupon today, even though I bought one 2 days ago. I guess this is a new one (new groupon but same deal terms)?

Re: Barnes and Noble Paid Membership - worth it?

I'll double down on your question with more questions. I joined the kid's club, which was free to join. That got me a 30% off kid's toy coupon. But the thing is, I have that one and other coupons, and none of them seem to work at all. The Lego on the site all say on their product page that coupons d...

Re: Groupon: Ebay gift card $7 for $15 value

Yeah it gave me the groupon with coupon code relatively quickly (within a few hours). I just used the groupon on a buy-it-now purchase, so I can confirm that it works just fine. Everyone should buy this groupon.

How long do you guys think this will take to process and become available, upon buying the groupon? I got an email coupon for %10 off an ebay purchase that expires at 11:59pm tomorrow. I'd love to use both at once.

Re: 2011 Discontinued LEGO Sets

Now, if I could only find a way to avoid having to pop into the local Walmart every 3 days to find out when they are going to mark down the rest of their cache of lunar limo/star destroyers/fire helicopters then I'd be all set. A little off-topic, but I wanted to respond to this comment. My Walmart...

Re: [USA] Target 30062 Kingdoms polybag

May be there are many army builders in Seattle area. :D For a better bang for your buck in building armies, buying 7949 or 7950 would be better. I still don't understand why so many people are hyped about this polybag. Not that special as far as parts go. Is it the apple? Drumstick? Heh. You're rig...

Re: Reminder: Update your Profiles with your Location

Making the topic sticky and global is good, but if it's possible, maybe we could do one better. Make it manditory to set your location. I don't know if that's technically possible with this forum software, but it would be really nice. You wouldn't even have to be very specific with your location; ev...
