Re: [USA] LEGO® Birthday Party Kit

If anyone gets one of these, please post some pictures. I'd like to see what their builder kit looks like and what the minifig(s) are included. The picture on Lego's site is rather small.

Re: What will 10216 do to 10199?

the only reason why 10199 is at $100-110 level is because that's what it costs currently from other region. you do know 10199 is still available on S@H, but in countries other than US and CA. 10216 has no bearing on 10199 and the price can only go up once the other countries also sold out of this s...

Re: Question about Power Function Bricks

Depending on how you want them lite up and if it's just a general light inside the building you might be able to get away w/ using some cheapie lantern-style units (for example, ones shaped to look like Coleman lanterns). That might be cheaper than getting official Lego LED. I'll see if I can dig up...

Re: Lego Employee Discount

I heard or read somewhere that Lego employees get to designer their own minifig and give those out as calling cards (but this may limited only to corporate and/or designers)...would be nice if store employees has that option as well, but not likely since I haven't seen any store employee hand out mi...

Border's - 33% off one item

Selection isn't that great and from what I've seen they jack up their retail prices so the coupon minus the tax makes it an "ok" deal. Here's a link to the coupon for reward members (sign-up for this is free) good for today, 8/1. It started a couple days ago, but I didn't see it until toda...

Re: Lego Store in Canada?

It all sounds like a nice idea to work for Lego and get a discount in the process, but I'm sure if one were to take it up as a job...it'll start to lose some of its magic (or maybe not for some people)...some of the fun is not having to deal w/ irate customers not having the sets they want, etc...

Lego Employee Discount

Just curious, what kind of discount (%) does Lego employees gets? When new sets comes out or when there's sales, do they get first dibs on it? I would imagine it'd be pretty easy to get a set of Series 1 mini-figs if one were collecting them as an employee, true?

Re: Borders 40% off list price of one item

I managed to pick up the Indie set, Fight on the Flying Wing for around $38 before tax but after discount. Not bad too shabby after discount considering they jacked up the retail price of the set to $62, wasn't list for this supposed to be $50?

Re: What will 10216 do to 10199?

I think scenario 2 is the most likely, but if Lego starts to sell the toy shop again it will be at the same price. If they don't and it's all secondary market then it'll definitely be scenario 2.

Re: August 2010 Calendar (US)

Also, an interesting thing to note: It's not necessarily 3 full minififgures, it's $10 for 15 pieces. So if you don't want/need torsos or legs, you could buy 5 heads, 5 hats, and 5 accessories, or any combination thereof. Yeah but then the people at the checkout think that you're some kind of sadis...

What kinds of sets are at Border's? I don't recall ever seeing any, but then again I haven't been in a while. If you got something recently, what did you pick up from Bordrers with this coupon?

Re: TRU reward members gets 20% one-time use coupon

Yeah, I've received those $5 off coupons before. What's annoying is that if you get more than one $5 off coupon they don't let you use it on the same visit and worst it's spread out so that only one applies per month...but I guess a discount is a discount and if one were to buy anyhow it's better t...

TRU reward members gets 20% one-time use coupon

Not sure if this is the right forum since this "offer" only applies if you're already a TRU customer who signed up for their rewards program...anyways, there's an email from TRU for 20% a single item and doesn't appear to be restricted to on any of the Lego sets, but it's in-store only and...
