Very slick and the video was great. Love the simplicity of the battery switch on top.

Oooooh, thanks for the links! Love the Flickr group. That'll provide a lot of help in piece/color combo location.

Re: Professor Moranis' Practical Carplane
Thanks for the suggestion! Unfortunately, I found that I actually don't have that many pieces (especially plates) in gold or brown, beyond some 1 x 1 round plates. I should really look at picking up some sets with those colors, or just ordering a variety from bricklink.

I keep expecting some natives to come running down the path, chasing him to a plane in the water. Hahaha, great MOC.

Professor Moranis' Practical Carplane
Story: Professor Moranis came across a set of power crystals during his his trips through time and space. However, after his anti-gravity time machine broke down, he decided to come up with a different, more practical mode of transportation - the carplane. Behind the scenes: Earlier in the week, I w...

Minotaur Hecaton Eggwalker
After looking at Mantisking's Hecaton Mechas and Eggwalkers , I decided to come up with a variation that combined the two with a twist. Unfortunately, it's a little larger than the MFZ style of Mantisking's work, but his inspiration made for a fun build. My main goal was to take: an Eggwalker identi...

I really like the detailed simplicity of this. It's giving me ideas for other potential uses as well. Thanks!

Re: Professor Moranis' Steampunk Antigravity Flying Chair
Thank you both. I've been finding that if I tie a story to the actual creation, the pieces I use and their location end up making sense and form a more cohesive whole.

I love the posture of this mecha, combined with the arm placement. Earnest and intimidating. I might have to try to build a few of these.Mantisking wrote:[/url]

Re: Random Spaceships
Thank you! The ones you referenced came from a limited number of parts within one or two sets versus the others that grew out of a mish-mash of sets sitting nearby. I'm hoping to take the next step and start actually planning out some designs and pulling together the pieces to methodically build it.

Professor Moranis' Steampunk Antigravity Flying Chair
Professor Moranis decided to travel in style. With that in mind, he created an antigravity flying chair out of various components he had stripped from his Time Traveling Machine . Luckily for us, he photographed his progress and has released them in the Steam Explorer's Journal. The Professor began ...

Unfortunately, I ended up not going for it. I spent the $60 on an impulse purchase of the Lion Chi Temple at TRU for $59.

Random Spaceships
Hey everybody. Being new, I figured I would share some of the MOCs that I've created in the last few months. These are unplanned MOCs, meaning I took the pieces available within reach and came up with a rapidly evolving design. Next, I took pictures, swooshed them a bit, then scrapped them to make s...

Re: Craiglist Post - $60 - Worth buying?
Heh. Sorry, I should have worded the topic title differently. This would have been my first time making a bulk Lego purchase and I was hoping to get an idea of whether or not this was a good buy. Zeya's response and advice was exactly what I was seeking. :)
