Re: A MOC - Kragled
Well, BATFE received this today, as part of their Bumpstock Ban regulation comment period: http://www.feinsteinproject.org/loes/effortbumpfire/TrumpStockMk1FingerShelfLeftSide.jpg http://www.feinsteinproject.org/loes/effortbumpfire/TrumpStockMk1FingerShelfLeftSide.jpg If my MOC is declared a machine...

Re: A MOC - Kragled
Parts ordered for 3 prototypes of the Mk 2 A. Including a baseplate - took me awhile to find a baseplate that was still in production. As long as the customer is chopping a baseplate, I might as well buy a big one & chop it into smaller pieces for them, and then I can get several kits worth out ...

Re: A MOC - Kragled
More heresy: since you have to cut the holes a little closer to the mid-point in order to fit the screws, and cut the bottom of the hole a bit to fit the screw sockets - why not put 2x2 plates under the 4x2 plates, and just cut the holes larger? Well, even better, that will allow us to replace the 4...

Cat treadmill?
We have a fat cat who loves tuna. Tossing around an idea about a cat treadmill, w/ tuna @ one end. It would have to be enclosed, or she'd just jump on it from the other end and eat the tuna. We have the latest version of the robot (Christmas 2015), so we have the motors, and should have sensors to s...

Hillman 5mm Metric Shelf Pins fit perfectly in Technic holes. The ones I got were made in Italy.

Re: How to draw gender bender in ML CAD?
What I'm trying to do is drop the snap to grid in ML CAD. I'm trying to fit Technic pieces together now, and am having the same problem.
ETA: Ah ha! Set to a fine grid, fixed the issue.

How to draw gender bender in ML CAD?
Running ML CAD 3.5, and experimenting w/ a gender bender using headlamps, but I can't get the parts to go together in ML CAD. I also imagine there are better ways to engineer gender benders, so if you have any suggestions, feel free to share. For this project, y'all will be pleased to know I don't i...

That's gorgeous. Which program did you use to model it? Have any issues? How long did it take you just to order all the additional required pieces?

Re: A MOC - Kragled
Someone else has done it - perhaps before me, albeit it appears they cut a baseplate to do so:

Re: A MOC - Kragled
The Mk 1 LDR if anyone is interested. The center holes & adjoining clutches require modification to fit:

No more Dremeling required. Just a few plate substitutions. Hope to get some smooth tiles on there soon...

Re: A MOC - Kragled
http://www.feinsteinproject.org/loes/effort1911/effort1911GripMk1.jpg Needs moar Dremel, as the mag catch doesn't clear yet. Test mule is an RIA 1911 in .45" ACP, made in the Phillipines. Had to Dremel the inner two clutches out on each 4x2 so that the screw heads would fit, and also the cylin...

ML Cad part library update?
Been using ML CAD 3.40 for a couple of years now, have it mostly figured out. Looking for a couple of parts that I'm not finding in the parts library - is there an update? Specifically looking for a 2x2 plate or tile w/ a vertical hole through it. The closest I'm coming is the 4x6 plate - crud - jus...

My apologies for not responding more quickly. This is a good summary (including dates, and letters) of BATFE's initial decision, and when they pulled their heads out:
