Where is Luke Skywalker?

Jawa 1: You're saying you came to this planet to find your brother?

C-3PO: I was assembled by Anakin Skywalker. He is my father.

R2-D2: Nooooooooooo!

Jawa 2: The word you want is maker, brass-hat.

TRON (1982) Light Cycle Set LEGO Ideas Project

The LEGO Group has been on an 80's kick with Back To the Future and Ghostbusters, I thought it would be cool to commemorate TRON with some LEGO builds, too: http://i.imgur.com/YP9YAFQm.jpg Click to visit the LEGO Ideas Project! http://i.imgur.com/7iEZtFXm.jpg Click to visit the LEGO Ideas Project! h...

Re: LEGO Building table inspiration

I'd start with a rolling kitchen island from Target or IKEA. They can be a few hundred dollars, but that's relatively cheap considering the engineering, design, and assembly of materials to make the products.

Yeah, yeah, it's not super-accurate, but IMHO, it economically captures the look of the Star Wars Imperial Probe Droid. It's about 250 pieces, most of them commonly ...

Re: #21109 LEGO Exo-Suit Giveaway & Availability Update

I don't have an Exo-Suit, yet, but if I did, right after I built the exo-suit, I'd work on an adversary for it. I dunno, an alien, a robot, an alien IN a robot?! Then, of course, I'd have to upgrade the Exo-Suit. And then upgrade the adversary, and the arms race is on. Thanks for the contest give-aw...

Re: [REVIEW] 21018 United Nations Headquarters

Best quality and photographed review I've seen, yet, summing up the interesting parts of the build nicely.

The UN Building isn't all that interesting to me, but LEGO's made it interesting how they've recreated the coloring and structure.

Re: LEGO Minifigure Year by Year Review & Giveaway

I'm more inclined to buy digital copies of books, even with this once, because the figures aren't exclusive, but it looks like it would make a great gift for a LEGO minifig fan of any age that doesn't already have the book.

Re: Book talk on Lego

It's hard to imagine a world without LEGO, but a few decades ago, it was hard to imagine that Kodak wouldn't be in the camera business. I mean, Kodak was so successful with consumer snapshot cameras that we have the "Kodak moment" in our vernacular. At least older generations do. Now, Koda...

Re: 100's Of Sellers are Selling There B-Wing And Losing Mon

I liked that the B-Wing (wings folded) flew with the cockpit on the side, similar to the Millennium Falcon. There's a Star Warsiness feel that resonates with me. The B-Wing is a peculiar design, perhaps too esoteric for wide appeal? Personally, I love the LEGO B-Wing. I applaud LEGO for making the k...

Re: Too old for Lego?

I've come full-circle with LEGO. I lost interest in LEGO when I was about 8. Got into scale plastic modeling. Then, into sci-fi plastic models, later in high-school and college, got into resin and vinyl figure model kits. I finally got back into LEGO when I was 39-years-old. I'm 43, now. I like that...

Re: Lego in 1969 film

Because of this post, I went to check it out on YouTube. It hasn't aged well, and my limited attention span forced me to skip through parts of it. I think the LEGO machine, and all the other metaphors in the presentation was pretty weak, because they weren't realistic - changing one part on the LEGO...

Re: Legends of Chima , what do you guys think about them

Me, personally, I love the Chima sets, but because they vibe with Thundercats and Guin from my misspent childhood in front of the TV and reading comic books. If I was a kid, I'd spend hours playing in the Chima universe. I'd adopt an X-Men storyline and create a race of hybrids - half-bird/half-lion...

Maybe that's how they can ship the bronze Jango Fett statue for free, by creating profit sending LEGO minifigs.

Re: Sideshow Toys $20 off $45 min purchase expires Apr 16!

Sorry about not catching that shipping glitch. I didn't bother to go very far in the order process. I've ordered a few things from Sideshow over the years and have never had problems before. They charge a very high premium for their products, but their service and customer commitment has been all go...

I chuckled a few times watching it, and rewound it to check out some of the visual gags and things like the brick-built Ithorian. Well worth the $8 pre-order price with the Vader figure!
