Re: Bricklink Orders actual end total fees importing to Cana

I've made about 60-70 Bricklink orders - most from the USA, some from Canada and a few from Europe (Poland, Germany). All my orders have shipped by regular post from the country of origin, and I've never paid import duties, taxes, brokerage, etc on them. I'd say most orders have the green customs s...

Re: Amazon Canada Now has a Toy Department (with LEGO)

I was thinking the same. However, if I'm planning a trip across the border and the factors are right (sale pricing and a high Canadian dollar) I would still order from US Amazon.

It's mentioned in the TRU flyer. Looks like an Easter egg.

Re: LEGO Series 9 Minifigures List 71000

Also, Hoth Bricks informs us that, "We already know that the 9 series scheduled for January 2013 will be packed in bags of silver." The pic below also informs us that Series 10 will be in a golden theme. For every series so far I've built a display case out of LEGO that's the color of the packets b...

Re: LEGO London Olympic Minifigures Available Worldwide

Be careful. I just did a Google search and I found a reference from Feb 2011 of someone in Alberta, Canada receiving a $240 order with a $63 import tax. There might be some unexpected hefty customs/brokerage charges. Plus they don't remove the VAT for non-EU buyers.

Re: [CUUSOO] Firefly Serenity playset

Zelda would be a great theme except the content is medieval period based which would probably make it unlikely to be made into a series as that would conflict with the Lord of the Rings theme.

Re: Olympic Minifigures, UK exclusive

Anyone else notice the copyright symbol on the bottom right corner says "(C) 200 The LEGO group". Somehow I don't think TLG would slip up like that. Even the box and polybag art don't look right. Look at the boxer minifig and polybag image, the headgear has a logo. As well, the polybag art portrays ...

Re: [MOC] Lunch Truck

I see the girl in the truck is wearing gloves, just as all food prep people do, but she should have her hair either in a cap or pony tail. Finding a lock of her flowing hair in a sandwich would be disastrous for business. Which might explain why there's only one guy in the line up.

Re: [USA] B&N In-Store Printable 40% off coupon exp. 10/30

The mystery %% coupon cannot be used since Lego sets are not eligible for coupon or promotions. Tried it on several sets, starting with the most expensive and the B&N site will not accept it.

Which Walmart?
Lougheed Mall. Boxes were bruised but seals still intact.

Definately a huge improvement over the Belville line. Kind of reminds me of Polly Pockets but with studs. Finally a reason to get my daughter to go look at the Lego aisles in the toy department.

Re: Sears.ca $50 off $200 coupon

Don't expect a great packing job when it comes to shipments from Sears. I've had orders shipped in their plastics bags and even their "internal" use re-usable shipping boxes. Seems like anything goes. Also, the products that are shipped to you might be store displayed merchandise complete with price...

Re: [USA] Target Lego Sale June 12-18 B2G1 / BOGO 50 / BOGO

in response to that_guy: Target is pretty good about stacking discounts. So, with the BOGO50 + $5off$50 + %5 red card discount, the shipping and at least part of the tax can be covered for orders between $50-$100. (I think for my order I paid $1.22 above the BOGO50 subtotal). I think there is a AAA...

I placed orders in 2010 and had no problems. One item was out of stock but it shipped when it became available. All orders were packaged nicely with air bags inside the shipping boxes. Re: [CAN] Sears.ca 13-25% (22-33% w/coupon) off Select LEGO

Was anyone able to combine both the 25/30% discount code along with any of the $10/20 off $100/200? I tried to use both the 30% discount code with a $5 birthday code and it wouldn't work and when I called in to ask they said you can only use one discount code. The purpose for multiple promo codes is...
