Re: 10254 Holiday Train Creator Expert LEGO Official Press R

The price is only good in comparison to the older holiday train's now-ridiculous after-market values and other trains. By itself, it's Star Wars pricing for a non-licensed, non-motorized Lego set. Smaller than the original, with fewer of everything, for more money. Though it does come with track. I ...

Re: LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Hulk vs Red Hulk Set

So, I'm very glad to see She Hulk and Red Hulk, and amazed to see Red She Hulk. That's...really awesome! That said, it boggles my mind that the character choices are so obviously aimed at comics fans and collectors, while the set itself is aimed at children. No, I take that back -- even children kno...

Re: LEGO Star Wars The Freemaker Adventures & 75098 Assault

The PPP is pretty standard for a SW set. It's what is expected. Not really, in the sense that there's wiggle room Slave-1 $199 1996 pieces Sandcrawler $299 3296 pieces X-Wing $199 1559 pieces Tie $199 1685 pieces Ewok $249 1990 pieces Some go over, some go under. The Hoth set could have been priced...

Re: LEGO Star Wars The Freemaker Adventures & 75098 Assault

I think Lego expects the Ion Cannon and Shield generator to be the selling point of this set. Those are the only two builds we have never received before. Those two things alone make me want to add this to my Hoth shelf. I agree that they are the attractions. However, if they are the selling point ...

Re: Modular Train Station Reaches 10 000 Supporters on LEGO

Then Lego ideas should say that -- just come out and say that sets above piece count X or price point Y are just not going to happen. Ideas is a great concept, but it is all kinds of crappy that the participants have to jump through lots of hoops and wait a very long time for rejections that are all...

Re: Minifig Series 12 at Walmart

I think Lego is crazy if they think people are going to pay $3.99 for a non-Simpsons, non-Movie wave of figures. Sure, some of them are nice. And they will probably keep the casual buyers. But this is going to be a drain on sales. I sure know I am not buying a full set, and no extras, either. I woul...

Re: LEGO Ideas - Winter 2014 results

Gah. Why would anyone participate in this? It feels like they make the rules up as they go along. We'll choose one, except when we won't, and we can delay one till next time, except when we don't. It really sounds like (1) Last time there were two we really wanted to make and (2) This time, we can't...

Re: LEGO The Simpsons Series Minifigures (List Revealed)

The price increase doesn't bother me at all. I think we all realize licensed theme sets are generally a slightly higher price because of extra costs associated with them. This seems no different. It is just new to CMFs so people aren't used to it. But it's a proportionally big increase. Why not $3....

Re: Wal Mart Markdowns

Not much at my local Wal-Mart, but they did have the Galaxy Squad Galactic Titan for $49.
They also had the LR Mine for $35 (but none there) and no evidence of the Train.
LOTR Black Gate was not on clearance.

Re: LEGO Brick Friday 2013 FREE $10 Gift Card Expiration Dat

Crap like this makes me not want to shop at the Lego Store. I can only imagine how it will make unknowing customers feel when they try to use it and find out it has expired. I believe that even in California, promotional gift cards can expire. If you buy a gift card, it will never expire. This, howe...

Re: No Discounts Policy on LEGO Exclusives & Hard to Find It

I agree with what others have said, I remember discussing with someone about why anyone would want to buy exclusives and hard to find from the Lego Store while many can find them cheaper elsewhere. I guess Lego finally realized that and this is the action they are taking. But does it really do this...

Re: No Discounts Policy on LEGO Exclusives & Hard to Find It

I am quite annoyed by the policy. I, like many other people here, drop a lot of money on Lego. The 10% is a nothing for them, but meaningful for me. To be penny-pinching on a coupon that I intend to use for an item that is over $200 just seems short-sighted and spiteful to me. It's anti-consumer and...

Re: 63 year old AFOL denied entry into Legoland at Vaughan M

I think a lot of people are getting all bothered by this rule because they feel sympathy for the elderly man with cancer. I feel bad that he has cancer, but cancer doesn't give people the right to do whatever they want and ignore private businesses' clearly stated terms and policies. Just like with...

Re: Creator Expert 10235 Winter Village Market

It's nice, but doesn't look like a market and doesn't look like a $100 set. To me it looks like a winter fair. Yes, I agree. Looks really good but seems a little too small to be called a $100 set. Doesn't come with much. It looks small but the piece count is high. 1261 pieces is nothing to sneeze a...

Re: 21103 LEGO BTTF DeLorean Time Machine Pictures

No minifigs = no sale. Also, I can see why they might want to make the model look like the first movie, but it is...kind of ugly with that hood. The original CUUSOO creation had more junk on the hood, but still looked more sleek. It's sad, but CUUSOO somehow manages to suck all the awesome out of th...

Re: May the 4th be with you (2013)

Thanks, I grabbed one from TRU too. In the past, most of the boxes come pretty beat up but for 99.99 you cant go wrong. If you get a beat up box, email or call up TRU and complain. I ordered the Winter Cottage from them and the box was hit with the ugly stick. I emailed them that was not the condit...
