Re: Some Summer sets now available

I can't decide if I'm happy or sad that as a long-time Lego Star Wars collector, there is nothing in this wave for me. I want to be excited. :-|

Guess there's the VII stuff to look forward to.

Re: Target Closing All Stores in Canada

I know someone who worked in a stock room for a short while and there were definitely problems. Mostly though, we were used to Walmart and those who had been to US stores were expecting the same, and it wasn't. I'll miss their clearance policy and the possibility of exclusives as well as the Pecan c...

Re: What Lego star wars sets you would like to be made?

I can see the desire for a lot of those, but as I've turned my back on PT sets... Rancor. They did the Rock king for PM, why not the big brown baddy? I'm really not sure what else. They have done a fairly thorough job over the years. Maybe the Lars homestead? Ewok Village? Sure I'd like lots of new ...

Re: LEGO Financial Results - First half of 2009

Wha-HOO!!! And as a Canadian, you are correct, although TRU is by no means complete. I happened upon the Lego rep in my nearest Wally World yesterday and found out the store is a regular store with a grocery jammed in, thus other departments are compressed, including toys and they will only carry th...

Re: It came from BELOW!!

I quite like the bits where the bricks are not properly seated along the damaged edge. It rankles me to see things not tightly attached, but it does wonders for the look of the piece.

Re: Which new lego star wars & indy summer sets you like most?

I'm learning not to judge these until you build them. I built the fighter planes and the Venice set over the weekend and there was some really clever building and functionality in these that made me really enjoy them. And my son is having a ball, he finally wanted to watch part of the films! (He's o...

Re: LEGO Financial Results - First half of 2009

There is already a live action TV series in the works, so no worries about more Lucas based Lego fodder.

As to Lego's success, now if they could just up their production runs on things a bit so I don't see so many bare shelves...
