Re: 8089 Hoth Wampa Cave

Brickset keeps information regarding retail prices of sets... heres the entry for 8089 (http://brickset.com/detail/?set=8089-1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;). Also useful because you can see what the US retail was as well.

Yes, all VIP Points expire on December 31st two years after the year in which they were earned. Before this happens, the LEGO® Group will notify you via the email ...

Always good to check Bricklink too, especially if you're after specific figs instead of whole sets.

No system for the lineup but not nearly enough people for that to really matter. We got there at 8:30 and were only maybe 50 people from the front of the line.

Re: How do you know how much you'll pay to ship on Bricklink

Thanks. Do you have any other advice for using Bricklink? Learn to use your Wanted List. This. It's SOOOO handy, to just click, "show items on my wanted list". Creating wanted lists is annoying and time consuming but it pays off as you can easy compare with other sellers. Some have a few cheap...

Re: June 2013 Sales Offers: LEGO Shop at Home

Well, since I got the notification that I "qualified" for the free Iron Man and the advertisement banners were still up, if I don't get one I'll just complain ;) I hear Lego Customer Service is pretty good.

Re: June 2013 Sales Offers: LEGO Shop at Home

When I'm checking out, I see the Jor'el poly in my cart but not the Ironman... I know it said I qualified for it earlier in the process and it shows up as an advert on the website still. Did everyone else see it in their cart/order review?

I wish I could find Weathertop on that kind of clearance/sale. Even if it wasn't that low of a price but a similar percentage off crappy Canadian MSRP.

Re: Steal of a Deal / Recent LEGO Purchases

If you guys feel like it is acceptable to total advantage of a good deal leaving nothing for anyone else then I will probably be reluctant to post any good deals that I find on here in the future. The forum is to help people find deals. Its up to individuals as to what to do with this knowledge. If...

Re: Box Condition- How much does it matter when selling/trad

Obviously the most important thing is to be clear and explicit about the damage when attempting to trade/sell. Beyond that I would just expect prospective buyers to use it as a bargaining tool to get more value. I doubt many people would buy/trade for damaged boxes as investments so I wouldn't expec...

Re: Weight differences in sets?

I bought a scale that weighs to the 100th of a gram for CMF sorting. It is almost a waste because the same figure can vary up to half a gram while still in package. I didn't try to break it down from there because the point was to sort without opening and the dot method isn't always viable. There i...

Re: Lego Shop@home Ripping off Canadians

Also, what about the issue with "customs?" The crossing the border to purchase in the US assumes you take back the set w/out paying any fees/dues on them correct? You are dodging the Import Taxes your country has in place to keep your jobs/economy competitive... unfortunately Lego is lumped in alth...
