Great job! I so much prefer these well-written and photographed reviews to rambling videos. Am I correct that only Venkman is different from the figs in Ecto?

Moving sale at my BL store! 300k parts!

Greetings, all! On March 1st (or 2nd...) I'll be closing my store to move, so I'd like to lighten my inventory first. Here are the details of the sale: - All parts 15% off - Lots of 100+ will receive an additional 5% off, and lots of 200+ will receive 10% off - US buyers: Free First Class shipping a...

Re: 2015 UCS LEGO 75095 TIE Fighter, 71016 D2C & LEGO Elves

I really like some of these. I can't help but wish that maybe with a little tweaking they would have been more gender-neutral. As it stands, it's sort of a Chima fantasy/Friends reality mash up. My son's first reaction was, "Those're for girls!" But once I got him to really look at the set...

Re: Wal-Mart USA Pre-Black Friday LEGO Deals Start Today

Price match while you can at Target and TRU. If Target tries to give you crap about not matching BF ads, point out the obvious "PRE-" in Walmart's sale. It is not BF, it is PRE-BF. Everyone's TRU is different, so I hope you're on good terms with the managers. It always helps me! Make sure ...

Re: LEGO Black Friday 2014 VIP Early Access (USA & Canada) -

Is the notion of 2x VIP next week a rumor, a wish, a reality, something in between? Last year the bonus VIP points were pre-BF only, so I'm expecting the same this year. You get EITHER points now or (lame) sales next week. However if S@H pulled out a classic $15 off $150+ or something that would mak...

Re: What is up with Lego sales this season?

Lego is perennially popular. Then they went and made a movie, and that movie happened to be really really good. 1 + 1 = 0 sales.

Re: Lego (Pick-A-Brick) Shortage

I went to the Concord Mills store near the end of October and the wall was PACKED. I wish I'd had time to stack more cups. The only noticeable absence was LBG 2x4 bricks. Of course that may all change as Lego season gets in full swing.

You're like a drug dealer, drip-feeding my addiction when the goods are so far away. How did you get so close to Phantom Island? Boat, zoom, both? (Nevermind, I see the photo now which mentions the identical boat. But for my future plans, does it take you to both Wizard Island and Phantom ...

^Yes, Series 12 will be in most retailers for a while once released. Be careful buying at Toys R Us because they tend to price their Lego items higher than anywhere else.

You lucky devil. My wife and I took a 3 week trip through Oregon and Washington many summers ago. It remains my standard for happiness. I am not a photographer, and I select a few photos here almost at random. Enjoy the rest of your trip! And go to Crater Lake, it's worth the drive.

Re: Parting out on Bricklink

Bottom line: selling parts is slooooooow. The biggest difference between hobbyists and businesses on BL is that hobbyists tend to only buy sets that have something they want, so they take that out and put the rest in their store at super low prices so that they will perhaps sell faster and recoup so...

If my son will just behave himself for a little while longer, I'll be able to surprise him with the Imperial Trading Post, and our Pirates table will be--I almost said "complete," but we know that ain't happening!
