(CA) Star Wars Episode 7 sets available early at Wal-Mart?

I posted a couple of weeks ago wondering why the bigger SW Summer 2015 sets were missing form the shelves at all the Wal-Marts that I visited. Well today I was at the store near Sherway Gardens (ON) and they had the new plan-o-gram taped to the racking for the Lego aisle.. It turns out that these se...

Limited Availability of 2015 SW sets at Wal-Mart Canada?

Hey, I'm just wondering if any of you have also noticed that the new 75093 Death Star Final Duel, the 75094 Imperial Shuttle Tydirium and the 75106 Imperial Assault Carrier are not being stocked by Wal-Mart (at least not in the 3 stores I looked). Does anybody know if they are downsizing their Lego ...

Re: Target Canada June clearance (YMMV?)

I saw this thread pretty late in the game, and I usually don't find much left at Target when I go. So Imagine my surprise when I saw these additional SW sets at 30% off. Imagine my joy when I saw THREE Unexpected Journey sets at 50% off! I don't know if these came out of the woodwork or what, but if...

Re: Toys R Us Canada May 2-4th deals

So Ice says its 50% off ALL, and pb99 says up to 25%... which one is it? 50% off ALL would be completely unprecedented and it would blow TLS out of the water this weekend.. BUT it sounds too good to be true.. can anybody verify?

Re: LEGO CITY 7939 @ AMAZON UK for £86.66

From my experience - I've probably purchased from them about 40 times now over the past 18 months - if it ships from the German Warehouse, its DHL. If it ships from their Scottish warehouse, its UPS. That's been the case 100% of the time. and 100% of the time UPS charges the duty :( Has anyone been ...

Re: Sears 20% off a large selection of lego TODAY only

Good Plan, except Sears doesn't stock Toys anymore.. so no swapping out a bad box for a good one. Btw they had 4 or 5 sets at 20% off since Friday. I almost bought a Rancor set but was put off by their shipping. I got a better deal at Barnes & Noble.com anyway!

Arrrgh they don't have the 79111 Constitution Train Chase online! I've been looking since it came out and have yet to see it go on sale! Has anybody found that one for a discount anywhere? Picked up 2 x 75005 Rancor Pit and 2 x 79008 Pirate Ship Ambush sets. I love these B&N deals, but its been ...

Re: [Canada] LEGO Technic-Pick Up Tow Truck on sale for 33%

Thx for your post. This item has been on clearance at walmart for a long time already. I guess Amazon is just trying to match with them. I've been to probably 8 or 9 Walmarts in the GTA over the past year or so on my never-ending search for LEGO deals... But I have never seen this set, nor have I s...

What would have been an amazing deal 6 months ago is blown. You have to pay almost 100 Euro for shipping and import fees.

You blow Amazon.fr!

Re: Newbie seller looking for tips and help

Great thread. It would be great to see some more general advice from some 'seasoned' investors.

I too have found that grabbing a few low-mid ranged 'clearance' items has only resulted in sitting on them, and maybe I will eventually just get my money back.

Re: [CAN] Toys R Us - May 31 - June 6

Where can you buy Lego sets from outside Canada that actually ship to us and are cheaper than buying locally? Amazon UK, DE and FR Yeah but not when comes to the death star! Exactly, I want R2D2, the Death Star, Horizon Express and Haunted House, but can't get those ones from Europe.. or cheaply an...

Up to 20% off all Star Wars Lego sets. I'm really hoping the SSD and DS see the full discount but I'm not holding my breath. Yeah, in the past I remember those being 5% off during "up to 20% off" sales. I picked up Death Star two years ago from Toys 'R' Us during a 20% off all Star Wars s...

Re: LEGO Technic Excavator on sale for £28.5 (Ships worldwid

Unless you live in Alberta or some State or Country that doesn't charge tax, you also need to consider that you would be paying tax as well for any Lego you bought from a regular retailer. I just bought two excavators: worked out to be $42.67 each. Going up against the $112.99 after HST it would cos...

Re: Toys R Us Flyer May 3-9

Pfft, I want that polybag, but I'm not jumping for joy or anything... If they were smart they would throw some insane May the 4th promo. From the looks of it, TLG's 2013 promo is brutal, to say the least. If TrU stepped it up and had loyal SW Lego fans flocking there each May the 4th, TLG would have...

Re: Investing in Lego

I'm feeling sad on this as the hurriane flooded my basement and dmaged some of my "speculation" boxes. Grr at my girlfreind for insisting I free up closet space. wow, that sucks dude. When I was young, I used to put my comics in the basement. Wrong. Humidity killed them. Most turned yello...

Re: Toys R Us Flyer Apr 19-25

Agree with most of the sentiments already expressed. Palpatine's Arrest is a little tempting as it's a nice selection of bricks and minifigs (none of which I have). However even with 40% off its still > 10 cents per brick, which is the figure I tend to look at when considering buying stuff that I w...
