We stopped at our closest LEGO store today (Potomac Mills, VA), and the staff there said they would be getting more of the Research Institute set, but not until October. They seemed to think it would be online, too, but I don't know if that was just wishful thinking.

I had to choose between the Research Institute and the Exo-Suit. Chose the Research Institute, but would sure like to have both!

Looks like at least one of our local stores has changed to the $4.99 price as well. Still not great, but better.

If I can, I buy one before the holiday (the Valentines ones were on sale the week before), then see what I can pick up afterwards for birthday party favors, gifts, etc. But I do that with the creator ones, too. This time, no Friends polybag until they go on clearance. Might as well get the Lemonade ...

I called LEGO. They weren't supposed to be released until the 1st, but they should be available everywhere then. Going to try to work all of them into the budget.

The Mixels were available for a few days, but now S@H now lists them all as sold out. Does anyone know what happened? My son has been saving his money for the last couple months to buy as many as he can. (Huge, since it's the first time he's ever held onto money for more than a week or so!) I went o...

I was shocked by the price difference, too. The piece count is similar, so why the huge price jump? Maybe it's because of the specialty bricks?

My 5-year-old's: 1. favorite minifigure- the combo she made of Sophie's hair on Mia's body "because she looks like me"; 2. favorite set- City Park Cafe because of all the utensils, etc. Plus, she was intrigued by the sandwich idea and now makes sandwich production a regular part of playing.

My TRU had some Series 5 minifigures left (at "only" $2.99 each), and they were ringing up as part of the sale. There were no signs indicating that they would be. I didn't check Series 6, but they still had the TRU mark-up, so it wouldn't have been quite as good a deal. Last time I went in...
