Re: 63 year old AFOL denied entry into Legoland at Vaughan M

It's a chuck e cheese like place. Yes, the Minilands are neat but otherwise it's target audience is 4 to 8 year olds.

Re: 2013 New York Toy Fair LEGO Pictures Now Out

So what sets are on everyone's must buy list? I'll be getting all the LotR sets. They all look super, even the small ones. So many good things to say about these sets that I'll just say they all look fantastic and leave it at that. Sail barge even though I'm not a huge fan of the design of the barg...

Re: LEGO 2013 German Toy Fair at Nuremberg

But where is the dragon? It was the dragon in 7094 Castle Siege that made it so desirable and different from the other castles. I hope one of the other new Castle sets have a dragon because dragons are cool. LOL One of the sets, has a red dragon. I've linked to pictures in the "Lego Castle for...

First the news that Castle theme will be returning and now this. Awesome! Simply Awesome! As a side note, I wonder what this means for GE... It would have been EOL following the pre-FB cycle but post FB, who knows that will happen. Would TLG carry two corner modulars? I'd be interested to see how th...

Re: [USA] ToysRUs LEGO Sale: December 16-22

People are dumb. I stopped telling people on how they can get better deals just by going to the Lego store or target. They don't want the hassle of going to multiple stores. By the way, less than 1 mile from each other. TRU knows that and they do well. We are the minority. People aren't dumb. Just ...

Re: Amazon LEGO Lightning deal 12/13 6AM PST

Thanks for the post. Outside of the WM sale, this is lowest price I've seen for this set. The WM sale might have spoiled some folks but who knows if we'll see that type of sale again for this set. And even if such a sale were to take place again, one has to have a little luck to get it during the sm...

LEGO's "retiring soon" page update

From 8 sets to 24 sets, including some fairly recent releases. I guess it's finally time to get the IS 10212. Although, with the holiday shopping still unfinished, I might have to wait until after the holidays. Hoping it'll last until then. http://shop.lego.com/en-US/Retiring-Soon?ShipTo=US&_req...

LEGO CMF = LEGO printing their own money.

I can't stop collecting these and getting extras to give out to friends who remind me of the particular fig that I'm gifting.

Just about to pull the trigger and they are sold out online and not available in any of my local stores  Did you physically go to the store or call for availability? Or are you coming to this conclusion ("not available in any of my local stores") from their website? I tried in-store ...

Re: Target $10 Gift Card w/purchase of any set $39.99 or mor

I got the Zombies and Orc Forge. Each scanned at 39.99 but with no gift card for either. Fortunately, a Target manager looked at the printed ad and quickly made the adjustments for the gift cards.

Re: Target $10 Gift Card w/purchase of any set $39.99 or mor

Excludes Friends, quantities limited. Not a bad deal for a frequent Target shopper; Star Wars 9494 Anakin's Jedi Interceptor and Monster Fighters 9465 The Zombies are Target exclusives at $39.99 each, so this is effectively 25% off, smidgen more if you have a Target debit or credit card. Don't forg...

I got my shipping email today too. I ordered it about 30 minutes before my original post (I would have posted sooner but I was waiting for the confirm email to make sure the deal was legit and searching the forums to make sure it was not a repost). Sorry to hear that yours got cancelled, BrickBuilder.

Re: What happened to the "Sales N Bricks" site?

I see. Thanks for the update! I have no particular preference on the site split. I'm relatively new so it wasn't much of an adjustment for me. Although a general announcement about the site split might be informative to all visitors. Or perhaps there was one and I simply missed it. As an aside, I wa...
