Re: Amazon LEGO Deal on Ninjago Fire Temple £49.99 ($72 USD)

Thanks for the info NewMonkey and Brownstone. Have either of you actually had any of your items slapped with import tax? If so what would you guess would be the cost for something like the Fire Temple? Just to clarify - while most of the LEGO I've bought has had the packaging damaged to some extent...

I would say about 75% of what I order from Amazon UK or France ends up coming in damaged boxes. They just don't pack them adequately for what DHL puts them through.

How often does Lego.com offer free shipping?

I have my eye on a few things at LEGO S@H, but shipping and tax make them a little higher than I like.

How often does S@H offer free shipping? Is it something I can pretty much count on every month or two, or is it a rare thing?

And it looks like they are gone at Amazon.com

Many other online retailers still have them. Amazon.fr has over 999.

Star Trek is nice, but it is nowhere near the franchise value of Star Wars.

In Japan.

If CUUSOO really takes off I could see those two sets being highly collectable. But they just don't seem very attractive in value to me right now.

Re: [USA] BN Instores Kids Club Coupon 30% off MSRP on LEGO

Even the in store coupons now have one time use codes on them. I recently got one....maybe a week ago. Haven't used it yet, but is def a one time use code. I just signed up for the club and online I can't seem to get it to work on any Lego, but will this work in store with Lego? I had no problem us...

Their shipping costs make it hard to get a good deal, at least for the things I looked at.

If anyone has recently registered for the Kids Club and has a link to the printable 30% off coupon that expires later on in 2012, can you please post it? The old coupon thread only goes through 2/7/12, it would be nice if we could find another batch that might be good in-store. Thanks! When two of ...

Re: TRU Disney DUPLO Princess sets

Would that cut in to "Friends" - thus keeping the Princess line Duplo? It depends on how stubborn they are about Friends. They have multiple "boy" lines of LEGO, why can't they have multiple "girl" lines? I'm so-so on the friends concept, and I have LEGO loving daughte...

Re: 2012 Trains?

Haven't heard any rumors myself, and I've been looking pretty hard. Personally I expect the Maersk to be gone before the year is over. As to whether LEGO releases something to fill the niche that EN and Maersk filled, who knows? But it would be nice if we had something new to look forward to around ...

Thanks - this seems like a no-brainer for LEGO. Now, I wonder if the license will extend to the regular sized LEGO products?

Re: [Europe] Amazon LEGO Star Wars Imperial Shuttle €186,26

Just a note for anybody in the US looking for 10212. Amazon.com here still has it on sale for USD $219, which is a better price (I think) then any of the overseas sources given the exchange rate. You might just barely be able to beat it after the VAT reduction, but given shipping costs it is likely ...

^ That's the 'official story' but the conspiracy theorist in me can't help but conjecture they simply take one off the shelf, leave it behind the customer service desk for a couple of days, then let you know that it has "arrived" as a sort of punishment for getting the reduced price. ;-) ...

Re: [USA] Wal-Mart Clearance

I like Target's old scanners that have a keypad. You can type in the DPCI of a product and the terminal will report the price, the quantity in stock, and where in the store they are stocked. The newer scanners Target is installing no longer have keypads. Regarding the "beep" from the Walma...
