Re: Wal-Mart USA Black Friday 2016 LEGO Sale

When I went online at around 1:30 am - the walmart was already out of stock and it would not allow me to order online at the $30 price - so I went to a nearby store and got 1 duplo and 1 classic at $30 each. I gave the Duplo set to a disabled neighborhood boy and the classic set I am donating to a t...

Re: Question about collecting

Lego will sell different types of Lego in different parts of the world - this is called market localization. For example, Lego will sell its soccer team mini figure sets only in Europe and its Asian Lunar new year sets only in Asia. There are local -regional taste in Lego as well - in Europe - espec...

Lego Education US online shopping changes

When visiting Lego Education US - I noticed that the online shopping selection appears to be drastistically cut back to big set - Lego Education use to offer technic parts that shop.lego.com would not offer - Lego education was especially useful for those in First Lego League as a source for parts. ...

Re: Building accessible star ships to minifigure scale?

Beyond the high cost - e.g. the Lego Death star - just keeping the bricks from falling off is one of the MOC challenges of a large mini fig scaled ship . Modular buildings which are built to the scale of a Lego minifig also have the same challenges. Lego Train bridges and tunnels also have the same ...

Re: looking for advice on technic sets as gift

Hi all. My story: ordered earrings from a jeweler friend who lives in another country. For my wife. Instead of money, she wants me to buy some technic stuff for her husband and send it to her because it's not available where they live. Problem: I don't know my way around LEGO stuff at all. He's int...

Re: No More Jurassic World Sets?

I like the Jurassic World but then again I like all three of the previous Jurassic Park movies. Below is a link to my MOC using Lego's Dino and Jurassic World dinosaurs which I displayed at the 2014 Virginia Brickfair. http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/416849 In recent times, I've only seen two of the...

Re: First Classic Lego

do not buy a set until you know your kids are *into* Lego first. If your public library has Lego program - take your kids there and see if they like building with Lego. If your childre like building with Lego then observe what they like building - that should suggest what kind of set they might like...

Re: Is the Airjitzu Rotor compatible with Technic axle?

The geared base is a unique piece that clicks into the rotor. Bottom of rotor has a round hole, not slotted for technic axle. It might be possible to wedge a couple round pieces with axle hole to hold a technic axle in place. I found a way - and maybe an application to re-use the rotor. When I get ...

Re: Grand emporium on shopgoodwill

From what I understand all of Goodwill's Lego inventory in the Washington DC area is now sold via auction - before that the Washington DC Area Goodwill was apparently selling all their Lego to regional reseller so they were not showing up in the stores. The Washington DC area has a competitive Lego ...
