Re: Walmart summer clearance 2016

No new markdowns - I figure that that the Winter clearance should be arriving soon? Or has the pricing strategy to move pre-Christmas negated that?

It seems like Walmart shelves are still pretty flush with sets, unlike some other retailers in my area.

Walmart USA Post Christmas sale?

Any finds in-store?

I recall a number of sets dropping to 50% off immediately after Christmas in-store only- this was 2011 and 2012. They skipped the discount last year.

Any finds yet this year?

Re: Walmart LEGO Clearance - day after Christmas?

Not sure how widespread this is, but there is a posting on Bricklink mentioning that some Walmarts now have LEGO items at a pretty good clearance price. http://www.bricklink.com/messageThread.asp?ID=163222&nID=781447 Seems like it's back to the individual stores to work out when to clearance, r...

Re: Walmart LEGO Clearance - day after Christmas?

I hit three this morning and... nothing. Quite disappointing. :( LEGO shelves were almost bare in all three, so I wouldn't have had much of a selection anyway. Here in the Pacific NW, Walmarts are pretty much demonized, so for me to go to three stores would be about a 3-4 hr round trip. Impressive ...

Walmart LEGO Clearance - day after Christmas?

Any luck yet finding deals? I hit the closest one to me, I've had success the past few years finding clearance marked at 50% off. I've never gone right as it opened the day after Christmas though, and nothing was marked down. A lot of the sets were 1-2 years old, but nothing scanned at discount. Sho...

Re: [USA] Fred Meyer CMF series 10

The one box at a time thing does seem a bit suspect though as I've never seen just a single box of CMF at any of the Fred Meyer's I've found them at. Any where from 2-10 but never just one. I think this was specific to this store. He confessed as much that they had more in the back, but would not b...

Re: [USA] Fred Meyer CMF series 10

So, topically related - during my search yesterday, I chatted it up with the stock clerk for the toy department, who was eyeballing me suspiciously. I reassured him I was going to pay for every single one, and had to practically turn out my pockets. He told me about all the LEGO thefts they have to ...

Re: LEGO 2013 Modular Building (10232 Palace Cinema)

Well over the christmas holiday I was able to see a picture of the next Modular Building Palace Cinema. Here are things I can tell you It's a corner Building with 2 floors and a roof it comes with a limousine its a Chinese stile theater it comes with at least six Minifigures it has search lights wh...

Re: TMNT sets listed on S@H

I'm mostly of the opinion that these sets are pretty terrible. But, I can see how the Kraang Lab Escape can be put to good use with the previous Alien Conquest theme (similar colors, etc.). May AQ RIP.

Re: LEGO 2013 Modular Building (10232 Palace Cinema)

This topic has been super-quiet as of late... I heard looking through some other blogs that some folks in Singapore had gotten a sneak-peek. Do we have any more details that anyone can confirm or speculate? I'm getting a little anxious, as the 2013 City lines are pretty underwhelming... :( I need to...

Re: LEGO 76001 The Bat vs.Bane: Tumbler Chase

I think this set looks "terrible" b/c Lego decided to put this set in the $40 category. This should have been in the $60-90 set range. For a $40 set, I think it looks serviceable. The Joker funhouse was $40 and was well-designed with lots of play features, etc. The designers could have go...

Re: LEGO Monster Fighters Alarm Clocks & Legends of Chima Ne

OK, so I like the alarm clocks as much as the next AFOL, and can appreciate the expansion across so many themes - but they will continue to be an inferior product as long as they require batteries (not plugged in) and limited features.
