Re: [US] shop.lego.com: more markdowns today 1/20

Your so lucky you live next to the LEGO store! Make sure to also use the $5 off $50 coupon which you can get at the customer service desk in that mall. I'm not sure if it will stack since its suppose to be only for instores, but worth the try. ;-) I know! Definite perk of my new job is being so clo...

Re: [US] shop.lego.com: more markdowns today 1/20

Yay! I've wanted a Swamp Speeder for quite some time. But I was a bit unhappy with the cost of shipping so I dropped by my local LEGO store (right across the street from where I work - sooo bad for the wallet) and they ordered a few for me with free shipping!

Re: Jan catalog 10% coupon

Oooh. I forgot about those mini modulars! I was going to use the 10% for the Death Star. Decisions, decisions.

[update: they gave me the discount happily, sweener, so it should work for you too. And I got the Deathstar - 10% + double VIP points was too nice to pass up.]

Re: Jan catalog 10% coupon

@sweener. I just called my local LEGO store directly and gave them my VIP number and told them I misplaced my catalogue. They said no problem and would honor the discount when I came in.

Maybe you could try calling your local store directly? :D

Re: Steal of a Deal / Recent LEGO Purchases

I have never seen a deal as good as yours at my local Craigslist It's hit or miss. Mostly miss lately. There was a 100 lbs of LEGO for $200 that I missed out on a few months ago. That still haunts me. There's a lot of LEGO activity in this area - especially among resellers. It's hard to compete aga...

Re: [USA] Fred Meyer Buy 2 Get 1 FREE on ALL* LEGO

I also got the series 6 minifigures for the sale price but they double checked and tripled checked before applying the buy 2 get one free. At the 4th Fred Meyer, the LEGO signs had handwritten "and minifigures" after the "excludes all Friends, Clearance" line. So you might want t...

Re: Which to get first?

Of the two, I preferred the Medieval Market Village. Lots of little vignettes and great accessories. Although I do think that the Fire Brigade displays better, especially if you have the other modular buildings. My favorite part of FB was the kitchen/rec area. The rest of the building was rather une...

Re: [USA] Target January 2012 Clearance Finds

I thought about it, @ncbarrett. I spoke to the manager this morning and he was very apologetic and said they wouldn't be making exceptions like that again. He asked me what I wanted and offered me a bunch of $3 "Apology" coupons but most of that wouldn't cover the cost of gas/mileage to dr...

Re: [USA] Target January 2012 Clearance Finds

So we drove all over the place last night and ended up at the Target in Hillsboro. I saw a cart FILLED with clearance LEGO by the customer service desk. Turns out that someone earlier had come in and asked the staff to put it on hold. But no one knew if they had purchased the LEGO or if it was just ...

Re: [USA] Wal-Mart Clearance

Anyone seeing the Black Pearl on sale AT ALL at Warlmart in Oregon? I went to one on Sunday and it was still at MSRP. Not seeing the 30%. Also, is this in store only? I am seeing them pop up right now for $74. Not smokin deal but close to what I would throw down for one. Check Woodburn and Forest G...

Re: Steal of a Deal / Recent LEGO Purchases

Bought 4 Harry Potter sets (brand new and sealed) off Craigslist for $120.00.

4841-1: Hogwarts Express
4842-1: Hogwarts Castle
4738-1: Hagrid's Hut
4840-1: The Burrow

But still not as good as the 12 Star Wars sets for $60 score back in the summer. I love Craigslist!!

Re: [US/CA] LEGOShop Boxing Day 2011 LEGO Deals

Got up early for the 7 am opening at my local LEGO store. Pretty much out of stock on the sale items and what they did have, we already got from B&N for 50% or more. We did end up buying the Construct a Zurg. Yup. Totally not worth it.

Going back to bed.

Re: [USA] Barnes & Noble: 40% off

So, I think they finally changed it in the system because the last 2 days, scanning the coupon didn't raise any red flags. But it did today - it seemed to stop the transaction. Though the cashier said she wasn't technically allowed to, she still gave me the 40% discount.

Re: [USA] Barnes & Noble: 40% off

Still works for me - went to a different B&N and picked up the 7931 T-6 Jedi Shuttle (honestly, that thing is so unattractive I could only bring myself to buy it at a deep discount) for around $24.

If you don't see what you want on the floor, ask if they have any new shipments in the back.

My local B&N had a picked over Pirates display so I asked them if they had QAR or Black Pearl... and she brought one from the back.

Re: [USA] Barnes & Noble: 40% off

$64.77 for Queen Anne's Revenge!! Woooohoo. I've been waiting to get this ship for a while now hoping to get one of these awesome B&N discounts.

And yes, my membership 10% discount stacked.

Thanks Pokerfool! :D
