Re: [Voting] Holiday LEGO Building Contest 2011

3 points - A Medieval Christmas - Brick Monster I suppose I have a fair amount of bias going into this vote...still, I honestly think that it's the best entry. Admittedly it could have used more of a "Christmas-look" but it's still a lovely little scene. Perhaps an evergreen tree instead o...

Thanks, great review, looks like a nice set. The only thing it could've used is a photo of all the pieces. But otherwise it's quite helpful. ;)

I'm much happier about the new rules, still sad that I can't enter but I guess they make sense.

Re: [Contest] Holiday LEGO Building Contest 2011

I agree with all the new rules except the one about not being able to enter if you've won something in the last six months. The reason (at least for me) is obvious. I mean, really? I think that's taking "fair" a little too far. Maybe if you've won a prize in the last two contests, that wou...

Re: LEGO Contest Discussion Topic

From me it's a complete and 100% no to a raffle. If it's a raffle than all incentive to build your best is lost. There just isn't a reason. Perhaps a compromise like suggested by meyerc13 but even so, I'd still be against it. :???: As for a suggestion...hmmm...how 'bout a scene/vignette/diorama depi...

Re: 2012 LEGO Star Wars (January)

I find it extremely odd that in 9488 the trooper with a Phase II helm has a phase I torso and the trooper with the ARF helmet (which is Phase I) has a Phase II torso. Very odd, though these being pre-production pics hopefully the mistake will be corrected. As for "Gree" not being Gree I ca...

[REVIEW] 7913 "Clone Trooper Battle Pack"

Indexed Well, I know this has been reviewed before but since I had it on hand I thought I'd try my hand at the art of reviewing. ;) http://benjamin.rolsma.com/Reviews/7913/01.jpg As you can see its the typical, ridiculously over-sized box of a battle-pack. It's slightly disappointing to open the bo...

Very nice looking set...especially the price tag. It's nice to see something that actually goes beyond the golden ratio.

Re: [MOC] Military Scout Vehicle "The Puppy"

Interesting design. Looking at the picture though, due to the angle of the hood and the cant of the wheel, it looks bent. :) Bent? In what direction? The vehicle, to me, looks like it bends where the hood joins the body. I know it's an optical illusion, I just can't un-see it. Huh, now that I look ...

Thanks for the review, I can imagine kids really enjoying playing with this. It has so many different sections to it and quite a few play features. For builders like me who build a set and then organize it into my collection it also has its selling points. It has many water-related accessories, SCUB...

Re: Gagarin

Very nice, but the photo quality could be better. Something I've noticed about many TnB member's creations is that many are lacking quality photos. If you don't have a proper photography set-up natural lighting can look quite good, as long as you take the photo on an overcast day or in a shadow. Tak...
