Re: Toys R Us Canada May 2-4th deals

Better to just shop at the lego store and get VIP points. I try not to buy anything from TRU anymore unless it's 40% or more off. Otherwise it is easier to buy on bricklink and basically pay a "finder's fee"

Re: May the 4th 2014

Ah ok.. I was once told by the staff at the store in Calgary that they sometimes vary and there are sometimes give-aways in the store that aren't offered online. I wish I knew what was going to be on sale. What do you think about the chances of the SS Destroyer and Death Star going on sale? I'm stil...

May the 4th 2014

So, here's a question for you all...

How big is the in-store deals vs the Shop at Home deals? Is it worth going to the store if I live 2.5 hours drive away? What are your past experiences like and are there any new sets being released on the day? Any inside information?!!?

:) Happy Building! :-D

Maersk Triple E

Although I don't own this set, I went to the lego store in Edmonton, Alberta today to see it for myself in case I was going to purchase it. It's been something I have wanted to get since getting the last maersk ship and train. Unfortunately for Lego, I won't be purchasing this set. For the coin you ...

Lego store in Edmonton

Just picked up a few 9525 which was on sale for $29.99 which is an incredible deal.

They have some other deals but there is also another toy store there that had 20% off all their lego sets under $200 except CMfs.

Re: LEGO Clone Trooper Lieutenant Minifigure 5001709

Although it should be a "must-have" for die hard collectors, other than the helmet and torso, no other details were included. I sure hope this polybag is made more publicly available and doesn't go as high as things like the barechested darth maul, etc. At least that one has printed arms. ...

Re: May the 4th be with you (2013)

I went another route and got the r2d2. I reckon that is a safer bet than the b wing. One strange thing is, I can only assume no one has received their orders yet because I haven't seen the minifig hit brick set inventory yet.

Re: [TRU] BOGO 50% 2/17 - 2/23

Bogo is alive, but prices are out of this world:

6857 - Toys R Us = 54.99
6857 - LEGO S@H = 39.99

$80 + VIP points vs $83 + point system that always screws you. I'll pass on this BOGO.

I submitted a price match inquiry the other day from Walmart. Looks like a few of us did.. :) Only problem is, they will still only allow 2 at a time.
