Can you trade 1 series 3 minifig for 1 series 2 minifig? Or is it full series only?

I have series 3 Pilot, Snowboarder and series 2 lifeguard. Bags are opened but figures are in good condition. Lifeguard doesn´t have her bag or the list where u you see all the minifigs.
I want S3 Elf and Gyborg. Can trade 2 figs for 1 Elf.
