Re: Walmart 10695 classic creative building box $20

I think a lot of parents love buying these bulk sets cause it's free of the third party tie ins and more complex models in other sets. Plus the "Back in my day, this was what Lego was" thing

Not investing in clearance sets.

Even at 50%, just like galaxy squads it's still not a good investment if you want to horde it. Get it if you actually want to build it or use the parts.

Re: [CUUSOO] Firefly Serenity playset

Yah it's definitely coming from outside fans, and not pure Lego fans. The Question is, will the ppl that vote buy it? I agree, it would be nice to see ideas that are just awesome creations, I guess cuussoo proves why Lego does so many licences in the first place. Personally I never vote on anything ...

Re: 2012 LEGO Friends (January)

I showed these to my sisters a while back, they liked them a lot, but they preferred that they came with classic mini-figures like the CMF's I've been getting them. I think that's consensus from everyone else I've been hearing from on this subject. I guess this is to target the audience of girls tha...

Re: 2012 Friends (New Girl's Theme)

They have tried. Like I said in my earlier post, Paradisa was aimed at girls, but with regular minifigs. That was in the early to mid nineties though, so I definitely agree with you that they should try updating that instead of the forever weird/ugly Belville. They also tried a few seemingly girl a...

Re: [CAN] Walmart - LEGO Ramses Pyramid Clearance - Only $10

Yah you can verify the prices online, that one B.C store had it at 10 everyone else at 25. I'd like to pick a copy up for parts, apparently it's a terrible game based on Amazon reviews. Does anyone here think Lego over-saturated the market with Lego games, there's like a dozen Lego games out there a...

Re: Are there any toy rivals of Lego?

Playmobil isn't a building a toy but it shares a lot of the same generic themes, has an iconic look to it and has the same European roots as Lego

Re: Which Modular Building Should I Get?

I had a similar conundrum a month back. I went to bricklink to look at set inventories before I bought them, I got a better grasp of what I can build with it than just looking on the box cover. Look at the brick link inventories, sort by quantity and descending, you'll be surprised by what you find....

Re: Toysandbricks.com - Brand New Website

I agree with hmillington. Personally I like the site the way it is, and it is mainly a site with sales news which I like as Eurobricks tends to have the most in depth reviews and discussion but nothing on sales, promotions and other stuff. Don't get me wrong I still like reviews on this site, and I ...

Re: [REVIEW] 2260 Ice Dragon Attack

I view a sets value as what else can I build with this or use the parts for. And this limits me to um dragons. That dragon head didn't need to be all one piece. I wish Lego would have higher piece builds instead of relying on custom molds. Very little re-use value.

Re: [CAN] Wal-Mart Select LEGO Toy Story - Additional 50% of

Got the two toy story boxes (even though I'm not a big fan of licensed themes), my little brother will enjoy it.

As for the games, I took it to the register and priced checked them and they were not on discount at my store in Ontario.
