Re: FS: Green Grocer 10185 575 shipped sealed

Your offer is very reasonable. I just sold one for $550 plus shipping, and it went quickly (NOT eBay). I hope you sell it quickly.

Re: [US/CA] Lego Black Friday Deals 2011

The thing that upsets me is, I only had enough budget for one set. It was down to a choice of the Tantive IV and the Imperial Flagship. I decided I wanted the Flagship more, and ordered it in good faith. Now, I'm not getting either. I can't prove it obviously, but I'll bet there are people who orde...

Re: [US/CA] Lego Black Friday Deals 2011

10211 Grand Emporium now listed as "Out of Stock - Will Ship Dec 17" instead of "SOLD OUT". However, Earth Defence HQ is now listed as "SOLD OUT".

I sometimes wonder about their off/on/off inventory...

Re: Discontinued stuff by end of 2011

S@H Website lists 10211 Grand Emporium as SOLD OUT.

This caught me by surprise, as Fire Brigade came out over half a year earlier and is still available.

Good thing I bought a bunch of all of them last year. ;-)

Re: [US/CA] Lego Black Friday Deals 2011

Just an FYI - The 10211 Grand Emporium wasn't on the sale, but it is now listed as "SOLD OUT". The order I placed Friday has now shipped. I have found that Google Chrome does not like the Lego website, showing information that is not correct. I have no idea why this is, but that's my exper...

Re: [US/CA] Lego Black Friday Deals 2011

I was doing some experimenting with Lego's website last night, and came across something interesting. If I browse with Google Chrome, many items are listed as available, and I can add them to my cart AND checkout! However, if I load the exact URLs from either Firefox or Safari, they are listed as SO...

Re: [US/CA] Lego Black Friday Deals 2011

my order went through about the same time as yours and I never did get a confirmation email. However, I checked the site just a couple of hours ago and my order status changed from "in process" to "shipped". I have yet to receive an email regarding my purchase. My order even now...

Re: [US/CA] Lego Black Friday Deals 2011

I placed an order for the Imperial Flagship and the Transportation Set about 90 minutes after the sale went online. I had a hard time getting the order to go through, which is why I "waited" 90 minutes. I got a confirmation number, but no email. The site still just says "in process&qu...

Lego 10197 Fire Brigade MIA ?

I was browsing Eurobricks, and was surprised to find a member reporting in an unrelated message that the 10197 Fire Brigade appears to be unavailable, at least in North America. I went to S@H and indeed the item does not show up in the Canada or USA S@H store, it skips to the Pet Shop if you enter t...

CAN S@H: Medieval Market Village was $149.95 , now $134.95

The Lego Medieval Market Village was previously priced at $149.95 Canadian on the S@H website (and in the catalog). It is now priced at $134.95 on S@H and in the newest catalog. This set sells for $99.95 US, and Lego's usual markup on sets in Canada is approximately 30%, so $134.95 is more in-line w...

Re: My letter to Lego concerning the Cmas Eve "Sale"

I'll repost my experience here, that I posted on another forum: Well, I don't know about other people, but I placed a fairly substantial online order for sale items, then called to inquire about the "Sold out" items. I was directed to call the online customer service, which I did. After wa...

Re: Lego Winter Toy Shop #10199 SOLD OUT at S@H

False alarm I guess. It seems the S@H site has been doing that with other products, switching between "Call for availability" to "Sold Out" to "Backordered until ... " back to "Call for Availability".

I guess we'll have to wait and see how this one plays out.

Re: Battery Life for Batteries Boxes

I know this is an older thread, but I need to know whether it's normal for the first charge to take more than 12 hours for the rechargeable battery box. I bought one new from S@H, and plugged it in last night. This morning it is still flashing like it's charging, and it's been more than 12 hours! Is...

Re: What sets are so good you've paid full price to get?

I only buy sets I like or need (for parts, or to complete something), so I pay whatever the going rate is. I've bought some used (Cafe Corner) and paid through the nose, just to get it. So what sets are so good I've paid full price? All of the ones I/we (my son, too!) own. I'd say we have well over ...

Re: TRU now on eBay

I work for a large mail order company. Back in 2000 the owner decided to experiment with eBay, and we listed a few items, which sold instantly. Subsequently we sold over $1Million/year on eBay alone, even though we had our own online store, mail order catalog, etc. It used to take seconds to list an...

Re: Buying from Ebay

Hey autobrick, The problems I have had WERE due to items bought on Bricklink. I've bought about an equal amount on eBay, and believe it or not the ones from Bricklink had missing pieces, and I was defrauded there. I'm not saying any particular site is immune or more prone to problems or fraud (you n...
