Sounds like a fun contest! Thanks for hosting it, I'll be sure to enter.
I was wondering, would minor overhang(s) be permitted, for example a tree's leaves and branches or minifigure accessories? In these cases they would extend perhaps 1 or 2 studs over the base. Thanks in advance.

Re: 2012 LEGO Star Wars
Judging by the names, all these new sets seem pretty cool. I'm still not quite so sure about the Planet Sets, but the battle packs sound great! I wonder though, if the minifigs will be updated/changed to Non-CW, i.e. Sebulba, Endor Rebels, and Geonosians. I've got mixed feelings about new figs, as s...

Re: Lego gets DC Comics license!!!
FBTB coverage of San Diego Comic-Con is now available: http://www.flickr.com/photos/fbtbnet/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Apparently the mentioned brick-built figures are actually composed of Hero Factory elements. Even though I'm not a big fan of DC and Marvel, I think t...

Re: Lego gets DC Comics license!!!
I just learned about this, too, from a link to this website: http://www.icv2.com/articles/news/20587.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I'm not much of a DC fan, but I'm sure this will be quite a popular theme considering the demand for the Batman theme both when it was av...

Re: [CAN] CMF gift wrap & 'Destination' key chain
Thanks for the news. I've seen the wrapping paper, but the keychain is new to me and looks like a interesting product. I wonder if they'll create one for every country with a Lego store or Legoland. :)

Luciant: The coupon # is short, 6 digits long, but couldn't be used without the coupon as the back fine print says: "Only original coupons accepted." It's likely it wasn't mentioned in the TRU email because this is an instore only offer that requires the original coupon. Sweener: Yes, this...

Re: Sike Costumes
I agree about the detailing. Superb job! :D
I especially like the "Sike" costume sign. I've seen the usual snot lettering in many mocs, but this takes it a step higher! Great use of cheese slopes, and it's amazing how good you made it look while the sign is confined to such a small area.

[US] TRU $10 off $50 (instore), Free Jet Ski, 20% off Games
I just received a TRU ad in the mail, and it contained some info about upcoming sales. To the best of knowledge it seems they haven't been reported here yet, so I thought I'd give everyone a heads up. Please tell me if I'm wrong and if this is already known. ;) "Bonus Savings" Coupon $10 o...

Re: 2011 LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean
These sets look really promising. It's kinda odd though, that the London Escape reuses so many old fig parts: the redcoat torso, the standard flesh grin face, the IJ grin face, and PoP Asoka's head. :| Well it will save money. Do you mean Tamina? No, this, actually: http://www.bricklink.com/catalog...

Oh my, thank you Kevin1990! So many new pieces to offer from this theme. There's even (finally) a sheath for swords! :)
EDIT: And even a new gold bar element! :D

Re: LEGO 8805 Collectible Minifigures Series 5
Hmm, so far I'm kind of disappointed with Series 5. Series 1,2,3, and 4 all seem better than this one, but it seems the final judgment will be made when we see the shot of all 16. ;)

Re: 2011 LEGO NinjaGo (January)
So after seeing the show... i'm kinda curious.. is lego going to rip us on unique gold weapons and just give us a gold katana and other ones and say they are the unique golden weapons. That means that Kai's booster pack that comes with the gold sword is the true gold sword. Kinda sux, would loved t...

Re: 7471 Available at some Targets
Two of my nearest Targets had them instock. It doesn't seem to be in the weekly ad though, as indicated on the product page. I called my nearest Target, and they tried to find it in the weekly ad and also checked on the shelf. Couldn't be found at all, so, considering the circumstances, it's probabl...

Re: Crutch Technique Ideas
Thanks for all the great suggestions! :) I've decided on the mini wrench element, with a minifig hand for Tiny Tim to hold on to. I originally was going to use the hammer, but decided the mini wrench provided a better illusion of his arm over the crutch. The finished figs will be posted on my MOCpag...
