Re: [TRU]Free Shirtless Darth Maul Minifig with $25+ SW purc

@pumbaugh I just returned an online purchase to a TRU store the other day and they did a full credit back to my charge card.

Re: [TRU]Free Shirtless Darth Maul Minifig with $25+ SW purc

I bought Desert Skiff and a Planet set to get the Darth Mail. Then just added a larger set to qualify for free shipping. I'll likely return the larger set to the store. Will they give me a hassle because of the free poly? Maybe, even though the remaining items still qualified with more than $25. But...

Re: B&N has King's Castle 7946

Yep, @felagund described it well, they shoved it in a box just slightly too short on the long side. So the damage occurred during the packing/shipping process. Which is a shame.

Re: B&N has King's Castle 7946

Didn't realize how much the price on this set jumped in the aftermarket. That said, I still think it is bad customer service to shove a $100 toy into a box too small for it, and then try to ship it.

Shocked that I actually received King's Castle today. Also shocked to see how crushed it is, see photo attached.

Re: LEGO US and Canada Promotions for October 2012

Ah, the return of TC-14. A good deal, especially when combined with double points. But I just can't get excited about the B-Wing. Even FBTB who had high expectations for the set, felt it disappointed.

Re: Lego 10197 Fire Brigade for $111.59 At Amazon

Such a good deal, I just picked up 2 fire brigades. Will TRY to resist adding more Pet Shops to my collection. The way LEGO is holding off on retiring sets, Pet Shop could be around for a couple more years, and through many sales.

Thanks!

Looks like TRU finally wised up. All the big exclusive sets are excluded from the sale! Oh well, this is still a great deal, but I'm likely not buying anything.

Re: Amazon Death Star 10188 & Super Star Dest for $359.99 Ea

Probably as long as Toys R Us has it on sale, Amazon seems to be price-matching: http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3506488" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; The TRU sale just started yesterday, and I assume it runs for the week. I think I have FOUR of the Deat...

Re: [USA] Amazon - Star Wars Sith Infiltrator 9500 $76.97

Getting lower and lower! My gut is this set see regular discounts throughout it's lifespan. Only 3 minifigs (albeit amazing minifigs) and yet another tie-fighter-ish ship for $90. Compare that to Palpatine's Arrest at the same price with 6 or 7 minifigs, all with lightsabers, a little ship and a pla...

Re: [USA] Amazon has LoTR Mines of Moira 66.87

New Jersey will start paying tax to Amazon in 2013. Amazon cut a deal with the NJ gov't where they get some incentives around these warehouses they want to build, and in return, Amazon will collect sales tax. I read an article where it justified the move as Amazon looking to move aggressively into s...
