Not sure about HD, but the Lowes store by me already sells those Lego themed instruction books with the blocks included. Ninjago, Starwars, etc.. Forget what they're called, they're always over priced in the $20 range.

UPCOMING NEW CHIMA GAMES FOR VITA/3DS ONLINE & IOS

"Warner Bros. has announced that three new LEGO games based on its brand-new Chima range of toys will be released in 2013. LEGO Legends of Chima: Laval's Journey will be developed by solely TT Games, and will be released for the PS Vita in summer 2013 and for Nintendo 3DS sometime in the autumn...

Re: In store at Books a million some sets @ 50% off

Easy enough to stop by my local BaM store and check it out. I'm curious if you need their store membership to get this price? I've noticed lego with 40% stickers before but you had to have their yearly membership to get the extra --% off. My family doesn't buy enough there to justify buying a member...

Re: Sideshow Collectibles $20 giftcards- good for Lego

Thanks for the generosity. I have many interests so thought I could find something but shipping kills the deal on any small impulse purchase. Giftcards can't be used on any item, I'll have to remember that. Sideshow has lots of cool stuff but I think their prices are more outrageous than Lego's.

Re: Target Black Friday USA

***Wow I'm getting old. Last year was the Pyramid Mummy Set! Yes, finally remembered! And it was available online. Well then hopefully I can look forward to piles of BPs sitting on clearance forever, which is what happened last year with the Pyramids. I bet I could still find a few if I looked hard...

Haven't found these in my area, Northeast OH. Wondering If I'm already too late or if they haven't been put out yet. Anyone else have luck?

Re: Target Black Friday USA

How many Targets still carry the Black Pearl? Didn't they blow that out over the Summer? Yeah, but they probably just hid some stock specifically for BF. They did this last year (or 2 years ago?) with the Castle Troll Mountain Fortress - same deal where it wasn't to be found but then the bust out d...

Re: [USA] Target Halloween Clearance

The non-clearance of polybags is a re-occuring trend at Target. I don't recall the specifics but it happens with some polybags after the holidays. I think the Toy Story 3 Army Men set was like this. Perhaps one of the veterans can remember and elaborate from the past. The non-clearance polybags will...

Re: LEGO Bricktober Promotions & Events at Toys R Us Stores

Each store probably has different rules but I've had lots of conversations with the hostess at our TRU. She did not pass out the build bricks as I've read about other stores doing. I'm guessing she put them in storage to pull out for future build events to help guarantee that all kids can build in t...

Re: 2012 LEGO Bricktober Week 4 at ToysRUs America

The kids did not get to keep the builds at our TRU event. They only got to keep the polybag. Not complaining, our TRU has been great concerning these events in the past. Wish we could have got some of those awesome accessories though. The builds went on a large table to create a large castle/city ty...

Re: LEGO KidsFest Event October 12-14 (Detroit, MI)

Might be a little late for this suggestion but last year the Cleveland KidsFest had tickets available for a few bucks off on Groupon at some point before the events. They were only good for a certain day and time but it helped offset the high cost for a family going to this. Enjoy! We had a good tim...

KMART LEGO HOLIDAY ACTIVITY/EVENT? speculation

I hate to open a topic about this but didn't know where else to put it. Mods feel free to delete or move as you deem appropriate. Last year Kmart had a Lego event in October. They gave away a knight polybag and they've done other things in the past also. Unfortunately, it does not always get reporte...

Re: BE CAREFUL!! Just got scammed @ B&N.

Why does lego use the plastic sticker seals versus gluing the boxes (they used to right)? I thought plastic factory sealed stickers were better. It's easy to open a glued box and reglue as it's hidden. Plastic seals can rip the outside box or show signs of tampering. Maybe they can put stronger adh...

Re: BE CAREFUL!! Just got scammed @ B&N.

Why does lego use the plastic sticker seals versus gluing the boxes (they used to right)? Did they ever discuss with the AFOLs on why they made these changes? Just curious, cause I would think that trying to pry open a glued box would be more difficult and leave tampering evidence. With enough effor...

Re: [US] B&N Black Friday sale

So there is no coupon to print and take to the store. The store will not have the lego marked as discounted and therefore we can't get at the 50% off. Sucks!!
