It's too bad that so many of the detail tiles look to be stickers.

Re: A new work in progress

Is the dust on the display drawers intentional or has this been sitting for a while? I think the dust is perfect for an office like this. Very authentic!

Re: Parting out on Bricklink

There is a part out function that makes life much easier. You enter the set number that you are parting out and BL will bring up the entire set for you. Then you only have to verify the parts that your set contained (including any extras), set your prices and upload. It's pretty straight forward.

Re: What do you do with your LEGO Catalogs?

My kids take them to their rooms, the car, their backpacks, etc. Eventually the very worn, ripped, beaten and bruised catalogs find their way to the recycle bin after much love. They cut out some of the pictures and make their own posters too. My youngest pulled out his favourite last night with the...

Re: Parting out on Bricklink

I started a store with my kids a few months back to teach them about money and responsibility. Their store is exclusively new sets that are parted out. It is a lot of work and very time consuming. That could be due to my kids doing a lot of the work. They are not the fastest sorters and they get "bo...

Re: Need Help From Train Enthusists

Thanks for the advise guys. These were my first two train purchases and I was looking to expand later by picking up track here and there. Since it looks like I'll need to get a bunch of stuff to get any kind of train going, it looks like a box set is probably my best bet. Thanks again for the help. IS

Need Help From Train Enthusists

Hi All, I've been wanting to get into trains for a while and I thought the after Christmas sale from Lego S@H was a nice inexpensive way to get started. I picked up the the Level Crossing set (7936) and the Train Motor (8866) thinking that I could do something with all of the sets that my kids have ...

Re: Amazon.com now Shipping Worldwide for Select LEGO

An interesting side effect of this seems to be that almost every set at Amazon will now ship to a US PO box. Before it was limited to about 35% of the listed sets. Any Canadians near the US boarder should consider renting a US PO Box. Lego S@H, Barnes & Noble and now Amazon all ship to P.O. Boxes. S...

[USA] Kids.Woot - Anakin Mini-Figure Clock - $12.99 + $5 S&H

http://kids.woot.com/ $12.99 + $5 shipping. Lego S@H price is $29.99 plus shipping. Lego didn't have Anakin listed, but the other clocks are that price. I'm not that familiar with Woot since they don't ship to Canada but I believe this is for today only or until they sell out . Which ever happens f...

Re: Star Wars Sets LEGO Should Make

I'd like to see a Star Wars game. They have Harry Potter so why not Star Wars. I'd love a micro-fig Han and Chewy. I think if I've read the rumor mills correctly and saw a picture before it was removed they are coming out with the battle for hoth Lego game... Thanks for that. And Thanks Dex 1138 fo...

Re: LEGO Store: Free Alien Conquest Brick with Foursquare

I just did this at the Lego store in Sherway Gardens (Toronto). They still have some available. They also have the Super Star Destroy on display. It's Huge! The minifigs do go inside, but it's certainly not minifig scale.

Lego Customer Service comes through again. I bought the Lego MBA program for my kids and received a Pick-A-Brick box. I was very excited when the Lego Store opened in Sherway Gardens Mall because I thought I would get to use the box. I tried today and although the manager at the store was very helpf...

Re: [CAN] TRU Aug 5 - Aug 11

B&N and L@H both ship to PO Boxes in the US without any problems. If your close to the boarder, get a PO Box in a post office and you're good to go. I'm still working out the bugs with Amazon but they claim they deliver to PO Boxes as well.
