This is very cool and reminds me of the EVAs in Neon Genesis: Evangelion.

The articulation is very cool as is the use of small pieces to armor the figure. It's fairly abstract and also asymmetrical in detail but I think this really works for your creation. Can't wait to see more.

I love the lighting in the second picture. It's got great atmosphere that really helps recreate the scene and creepifies the overall feel.

How did you light it? What were the positions of the lights and what sort of camera and speed/setting did you use?

The series 4 are a limit of five (5) since series 5 is now on sale two for $5, not as good as five for $10.
