    McFarlane Toy Fair Report

The McFarlane booth was definitely highly focused on their building set line, featuring a large scale prison built out of multiple Prison Tower sets.

An interesting aspect of this line is the modular nature. The prison cells are designed in such a way that multiples can be stacked next to each other and on top of each other to form a larger building. There were also two vehicles on display – Dale’s RV and Woodbury Assault Vehicle and a series of collectible figures.

    LEGO Mixels Toy Fair Report

Along with the already-released series 4, both series 5 and 6 were on display at Toy Fair. The price for each packet remains $4.99, and Series 5 will see release in June with 6 following in October. I don’t know which names (already disclosed via Brickset after the London Toy Fair) go with which characters, neither do I know the tribe names.

    LEGO Friends Toy Fair Report

Nine new products were on display, including this year’s Friends Advent Calendar, four “general” Friends sets, and four offerings in the “Pop Star” subtheme. All are slated for release in August 2015 save for the Advent Calendar, which I think will be available in September.

The offerings in the perennial City theme this year are subdivided into two exploration-based subthemes as well as one larger “City Square” set, similar to 2013’s “Town Square”.

    DC Superheroes Toy Fair Report

There were two new DC Superheroes sets on display, but I only managed to get images of the larger of the two, 76035 “Jokerland”, which looks adequately hilarious! It’s basically a Joker-themed amusement park complete with murderous rides. Featuring eight minifigures, including Starfire and Beast Boy as well as Batman and Robin against the combined forces of The Joker, Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy and The Penguin complete with thematic deathtraps for each villain, this is sure to be a huge hit with DC fans.
