The Team GB LEGO Minifigures spark the sporting imagination, so you can stage your very own Games.

Brawny Boxer
Punching his way to the top, this lean machine in blue is ready to float like a butterfly and sting like a bee for Team GB!
The Stealth Swimmer
Like a fish in the water, the Stealth Swimmer is ready to torpedo through the water into to pole position.
Relay Runner
Sprinting to reach the winningline, could this give Team GB a relay team victory?
Judo Fighter
Taking down her opponent's one at a time, this mistress of martial arts knocks down anything in her way to grasp that gold medal.
Tactical Tennis Player
First on the court in his gleaming whites, this tennis ace will knock the white socks off of any competition.
Flexible Gymnast
Balance and co-ordination is the name of the game for this agile Olympic contender.
Wondrous Weightlifter
Powerlifting his personal best, the crowd looks on as this burley guy weighs up his chances of going for gold.
Horseback rider
Riding her way to the last hurdle, this athlete won't be horsing around when it comes to winning!
Agile Archer
Complete with bow in hand, let's hope this little fella will be on target on the day!

I'm determined to get all 9 figures. I guess I'll have to trade for them then. :/

Re: LEGO Team GB Minifigures (8909)
the boxer is awesome. but i want the power lifter and archer for customs. the power lifter can be a wrestler to take on the luche libre from series 1.
i cant believe lego will not make these available outside the uk.
i am not paying 10 bucks a fig for these, which i am assuming will be the aftermarket price.

If any one here in US/Canada figures (pun intented) out how to get the figures at a reasonable price let me know. I'm expecting eBay and BrickLink to be to high for my price range.

When the first images of these figures appeared I thought they were fake because of the less than professional photography. Guess I was wrong.
Re: LEGO 8909 Team GB Minifigures
If not on Amazon.fr, I am sure they'll be on Amazon.co.uk - there will be ways to get them at RRP or lower (amazon is usually lower and given that it's shipping internationally, it will be even lower as we don't have to pay VAT!).Legobrandon wrote:Do you think they'll show up on Amazon.fr?

Hopefully. Then we could set up a Canadian TEAM GB trade group.harry99 wrote:If not on Amazon.fr, I am sure they'll be on Amazon.co.uk - there will be ways to get them at RRP or lower (amazon is usually lower and given that it's shipping internationally, it will be even lower as we don't have to pay VAT!).Legobrandon wrote:Do you think they'll show up on Amazon.fr?

I'd love to get these, especially the gymnast as my daughter does gymnastics. I really wish I knew someone in the UK or someone traveling there!

Making toys exclusive to a country is a bit silly. Being a collector of Star Wars action figures is a pain when things are exclusive to shops that don't have shops here in the U.K. like Walmart and Target.

The bases will be printed on these TEAM GB minfigures. Credits to @Grogall for the image.
Beautiful. Even more desired by me now. <3

Re: LEGO 8909 Team GB Minifigures
Interesting, cool to see them in other colors, as well. I still think they should have colored the bases for each series the same as the bags they came in... missed opportunity, there.

It's more than a bit silly, but that's corporates for you.Goldmonkey wrote:Making toys exclusive to a country is a bit silly. Being a collector of Star Wars action figures is a pain when things are exclusive to shops that don't have shops here in the U.K. like Walmart and Target.
As for Walmart, they've owned Asda since '99. If exclusives aren't making it over, there's likely other logistics at play besides having a business presence.

Re: LEGO 8909 Team GB Minifigures
The news release says these will be available at "John Lewis and other good high street retailers" (emphasis mine; high street being somewhat similar to main street in the US, although in this context, probably closer to big-brand stores).
I haven't seen anything official that confirms, but some threads on lego.com expands the list of retailers to John Lewis, Argos, Tesco, WH Smith, Smyths and Toys R Us -- all shops with a significant B&M presence, which makes sense if the goal is to get these into the hands of Olympic tourists -- walk into any respectable shop, and grab yourself a CMF or three.
