Discontinued LEGO Star Wars Sets - 2010

Post by Toys N Bricks » Sun Feb 07, 2010 1:50 pm

Toys N Bricks wants to give all LEGO Star Wars fans a heads up on sets that have been discontinued or will soon be discontinued. We've made you a list for your convenience. If you still do not have these sets, we suggest you to try to find them at your local stores. These discontinued sets will become harder and harder to find and value will increase as time passes.

LEGO Star Wars sets tends to have a 1-1.5 years life span now due numerous new LEGO sets being released. The list we provide includes only regular sets and excludes UCS.

Note : This mainly applies to USA & Canada but other parts of the world like uK may have different availability. But we've checked in uK Shop @ Home and availability looks similar to North America's Shop @ Home. Toys N Bricks also cannot guarantee the accuracy of this list as discontinue sets are subject to change without notice.

I guess its also due the popularity of it too. If you recall twilight and droid gunship, those sets were only out for 3-7 months before they were discontinued.

7778 Midi-scale Millennium Falcon is sold out at lego shop. A very good indiciation it has retired. My guess is it wasn't selling too well. So if you haven't manage to snatch one up, you better get them now at walmart as even star wars sets not popular will become expensive later.

7666 Republic Attack Gunship is sold out at lego shop!! Grab it at your toysrus, walmart or at the lego store now before prices goes up high. I have a really good feeling this set will be worth a lot later with the exclusive figures like cody and ventress.

At a curiosity, how exactly did you get a hold of a list of sets that are being discontinued? I thought TLG didn't release that kind of information.

A LEGO Rep. helped us and are rough estimates. The sets are expected to last until the date specified and its not the date when they stop producing them. The LEGO Group tends to stop producing sets a bit earlier than the date specified as there is still stock in their warehouse. Sometimes however, sets sell out much quicker than expected due to unforeseen circumstances. An example would be the LEGO 7676 Republic Attack Gunship - sold out a bit earlier than anticipated.

Dang I love the midi size stuff. I must go get more. I wish they were on sale in my area for 25$ as they were in other Walmarts.

I don't have it. It looks like a good set, but the price for parts is a big turn off.

The set is ok and better than magnaguard starfighter. But when compared to other sets like AAT, its nothing.

I considered buying that set vs a castle line set (Drawbridge Defense I think) and the only reason I could find to buy the Solar Sailor were the two robot guards. I really liked them but the $40 Drawbridge Defense had more minifigures and I believe more pieces. It's a must have if you're a Star Wars collector but if you're like me who just goes with the sets he likes for whatever reason, it's not all that great.

7675 AT-TE is sold out now. The predictions were correct with them being discontinued in mid 2010.
