LEGO to re-release 5,923-piece Taj Mahal on Cyber Monday 2017

Is it:

A) Unimaginative rehash
B) Cash Grab
C) Fulfill a niche that Lepin has been filling

D) re-release of sets with a crazy high aftermarket value, with a little of A B & C added in.

Hope this is the start of a trend, aftermarket prices are insane.

I bought the original when it was still available so I'll pass this time. I do feel a little sorry for anyone who may have recently bought the original at a hyper-inflated price. But I think that re-releasing large sets is a good thing, and will help to discourage buying lepin clones.

OK, if TLG are listening...

Death Star II
Eiffel Tower
Green Grocer

But please, not all in one year.

This is my main issue. LEGO is releasing an insane amount of huge sets every month! Just a few years ago it was a few a year, it's now several a month. People only have X amount to spend on 900 sets yearly sets.

But it's a little of ABC. I think it's partly because there are no special pieces out of production (Like Cafe Corner has) and LEGO can produce a bunch, take money away from Lepin and scalpers and stick it in their wallets.

I'm hoping for a release of the Statue of Liberty. I want sand green bricks. :)

I really wish they'd do some ancient Egyptian stuff like the pyramids and the sphinx. More than that I just wish they'd reboot the Adventurers line, I would cry tears of joy if they did that.

If LEGO ever brought Adventures back the temple will be purple and stone blue, It explodes when you shoot at it. The bad guys will be zombie werewolf robot aliens from the future trying to steal Earth's history (Which of course will be a new collectible piece, similar to the NEXo shields.). The Johnny Thunder will have a gun that 15 times bigger than him and have a child that will grow up over the course of 5 TV seasons. And the bad guy will become good when the show finishes.

Don't steal my idea LEGO.
