Re: Interesting Read ! ! !
It was an interesting read. I'm going there one day to get some free LEGOs! Don't you think that the LEGOs have been eaten by fish, etc? That'd be sad.
Re: Interesting Read ! ! !
That was interesting. Thank you for sharing. I stumbled upon another with the same story with some pics also http://www.bbc.com/news/magazine-28367198 A lady has started a facebook page to track people's finds. "There's stories of kids in the late 1990s having buckets of dragons on the beach, selling them," says Tracey, who lives in Newquay.greanie2011 wrote:I was browsing the "internets" and . . .

Re: Interesting Read ! ! !
Interesting. I wonder if anyone has tried to find the container and salvage the sets that are left.
LEGO Pieces Continually Wash Up On Cornwall Beaches
A couple of days ago, BBC.com published an article about 62 containers that dumped overboard in a freak wave off the coast of England 17 years ago. According to the ship's manifest, one apparently held an estimated 4.8 million LEGO elements inside, which have continually washed ashore on Cornwall beaches since a few months after the incident.
Ironically, many of the pieces were of a nautical theme, probably a mix of Pirates and Aquazone sets (according to Brickset's database, which places those themes in the 1996/97 timeframe).
One of the interviewees runs a Facebook page dedicated to documenting the discoveries.
