That is like 31% off, and they rarely go on sale. Good price for those that can afford it since it is still $300 plus tax. Same price at FutureShop. Plus both Bestbuy and FutureShop have a couple of other small sets on sale, nothing worth mentioning unless someone need fillers.

Ordered one. Thanks OP! In fact it's at $339.99 at Costco for a long period of time. Best Buy is having a better deal than Costco obvious, in this case.

there are kijiji sellers selling these between $300-320 and its better than $300 plus tax so if you missed one go check out kijiji which is a decent source these days to get discounted lego (in the Toronto area). Got one for $320 which I thought was good and was tempted to buy another set at $300 when I saw another seller beat that price!
this year, there have been an increase in kijiji sellers - especially those that sell consistent stock - more people with lego mafia connections I guess. Definitely seen an increase over the last couple of years; however, one still has to be careful due to face to face transactions

Kijiji does offer a lot of the recent sets with good discounts and i have always wondered where they get the sets to sell them that cheap, not complaining though, i often buy from them. Better than deals in store.

The ol' "Dropped Off The Back of a Truck" I bet. Incidentally I was reading a few days back that employee theft is thought to be worth at least double what stores lose to shoplifters in the US.massakassa wrote:Kijiji does offer a lot of the recent sets with good discounts and i have always wondered where they get the sets to sell them that cheap, not complaining though, i often buy from them. Its a possibility, i remember looking one of those sellers up on Google and found a news article where he once got arrested for shoplifting in Richmond Hill i believe. Seeing that it was from a few years back and figuring that it would be quite hard to lift a lot of those big boxes of Lego i went and bought some Lego sets from him nonetheless. Still i wonder..payam81 wrote:The ol' "Dropped Off The Back of a Truck" I bet. Yes that is very true. I remembered I in fact seen that happen before. Drop off then pick up later. That is why a lot of retailers always do criminal check before hiring someone for unloading trucks.payam81 wrote:The ol' "Dropped Off The Back of a Truck" I bet. And now that is back to full price at Best Buy, save another $10 (price match +10% off the difference) by price matching Costco's new retail price (plus collect BB Reward Zone points worth another $3.75, or $7.50 if you use a BB Reward Zone Visa).

Re: Mindstorms (EV3) - $100 off at Bestbuy.ca
In fact, it's $1.10 not $10. I bought it at BB then trying to PM with them by showing Costco.ca price. They are price matching the price difference and giving extra 10% to the difference, but not 10% to the competitor (in this case Costco.ca) price. So it's $1.00 + (10% of = $0.10) = $1.10. Still good as I get Rewards points.
