You must be ta'veren to get someone to spend that kind of money for it. Either that, or people are crazy.Taveren wrote:I bought a few small sets that were still MSRP, along with the theater set for $20, making my total enough to meet the promo and ended up with another theater set for free. Sold one of them on ebay for $35, making up for the lack of a Bricktober sale

This is a Canadian Toys R Us thread and it looks like your location is in the US. Is this correct? is it Toys R Us USA that this coupon is good for?

Oddly enough I was able to find many of Set #4 Town Hall set for $19.99 in the Lego section at my local TRU. Also ended up getting the Theater. Two more to go!
Re: Toys R Us Bricktober FREE Streetview Builds
Week Three is SLIGHTLY better than previous weeks, but nothing major..
Fire Station mini mod with $75+
Arc-170 Starfighter with $30+
(you shouldn't have any problems combining the two)
then 10 x airmiles on Superheroes/Star Wars with $30+ (1 airmile for $30 normally, so still nothing to write home about).
then finally 20% off Monster Fighters.. If the prices were where other retailers are/were then this would have been decent, but the Castle is $150 rather than $129, and the others are $5-10 more than normal stores as well.. The only one I know off the top of my head that is at a normal price is the Train.. so for $80 + the two promos, it's not too bad I guess..

My open, flat hand would like to have a word with the face of whichever marketing director thought that 10x Air Miles was a suitable replacement for 20% off sales.

Ah ToysRus... gotta love em...
I do prefer S@H - double VIP and the holiday set is much better.

Lego Discovery Center @ Vaughan Mills has a ton of the ARC-170 poly if anyone fancies it. I'm not sure of the price but probably $5 to at most $10. This probably the worst poly they could have given away… I'd venture to say even worse than Lego S@H's Worriz's Fire Bike poly...

I don't understand why people from the US are responding to posts here in the Canada LEGO Sales & Deals forum?grymg wrote:Oddly enough I was able to find many of Set #4 Town Hall set for $19.99 in the Lego section at my local TRU. Also ended up getting the Theater. Two more to go!

Americans can't read. That's what they taught me in Canadian lumberjack school anyway.gumby wrote:I don't understand why people from the US are responding to posts here in the Canada LEGO Sales & Deals forum?

Resellers, they find some good deals here because the Canadian dollar is low and sometimes they have things in stock here that are hard to find in the US anymore.

Fine - but why post that an item is available in your US store when we are talking about Canadian stores?massakassa wrote:Sometimes they too buy Lego in Canada.gumby wrote:I don't understand why people from the US are responding to posts here in the Canada LEGO Sales & Deals forum?grymg wrote:Oddly enough I was able to find many of Set #4 Town Hall set for $19.99 in the Lego section at my local TRU. To be fair, the subject header doesn't say Canada in it, and if you use the new since last visit feature, you don't see what forum the thread is in so its easy to get confused.
Who is General Failure and why is he reading my hard disk?
Re: Canada Toys R Us Bricktober FREE Streetview Builds
Indeed, the link I read this on from Facebook that sent me here didn't make the distinction between US or Canada in the post that sent me here, so it never crossed my mind to double check.
