75% off at Target on clearance Lego sets!

Today I found 75% off on all clearance Lego set at my local Target (Utica, NY).

I first found 4 4737 Quidditch Match for 4.98 a set and everything else signed clearance was cleared out. I was checking pricing when I noticed some unsigned, but labeled clearance items. There was a shopping cart with labeling equipment in the aisle, so I waited to see who coming back. After 30 minutes holding onto the 4 H.P. sets, a young guy in a red shirt approached the cart and started checking prices. I asked if had more Lego to do and said he did. I asked him if he cared if I followed him and had no problem. He then marked down 2 7947 Prison Tower Rescue to 12.48, which he kindly handed me after tagging. He then marked down 4 5865 Mini Dumper which he stacked on my pile. We started gaining the attention of some other shoppers, which kinda made me fell bad when they were looking for some deals. He then marked down 3 5508 Deluxe Brick Box to 12.48. I let them have first dibs and a mother picked one up, which light up her kid's face. I quickly snatched the other two and carried my haul to check out (should have gotten a cart). In other news, at TRU I found only one of the illusive 3677 Red Cargo Train which I BOGO 1/2 off with a 7939 cargo train.

Ugh, I knew I should have tried to go today, but our schedule didn't allow it. I wonder if my husband would divorce me if I tried to go tonight after dinner. (also two packages arrived from TRU today and one yesterday).....And my trip to Kmart yesterday!

I have been haunting my local Target that had Quidditch Match on 25% off clearance, and bit the bullet today at a mere 25% off. I figure at least I have it - it's a cute set, great parts. Madame Hooch's head is awesome. If I go back next week and they've been marked down and still have them in stock, maybe I'll buy one and return it with this weeks receipt. I'm okay with 25% but I'd be happier with 50% off - ecstatic to see 75% off, but I don't hold my breath on that.

Checked San Jose North, the clearance aisle was there, but someone had cleaned out the Lego's already. Had asked an employee, and he directed me to where they "were". Nothing in Newark, or the Fremont store, didn't necessarily find an area where they might have been either though at the last two.

Everything else was sold out, I saw clearance tags for HP Hagrid's Hut, Deluxe Brick Box, City Tank Truck and others but most of the bigger sets were gone. No SW seemed to be on clearance.

Went to my Target during lunch/dinner and the Lego Isle was only Full Price stuff, mostly of the new items. I saw a few HP items like Burrows, Castle, and Train, but they were listed at Full and was lazy and didn't scan them figuring I didn't see any of the 10 Quiddatch matches I had seen a week ago.

What? $12.48 for 7947 Prison Tower Rescue. I spent $41 for this set two months ago. This was an awful steal. If my wife knew it, she must be teasing me in bad way.

Hit my local target this morning after seeing the post about the #5508 Deluxe Brick Box being $12.48. I had seen two of them last week there and was hoping they would still be. They were still there so picked them up.

GRRR! Now I'm kicking myself for picking it up at $14.98... maybe it will get further marked down next week at my location, perhaps they're a week behind yours or something.

The ebay moms swooped in and pretty much cleaned out the clearance section. There's hardly ANY clearance items left. On the good side, there is a whole LEGO aisle of new stuff!

Hit the target in MD today. Nothing left but scanned 4193 london Escape and it rang up $12.48. The last one and the only pirate set that was on clearance. Also picked up the small car for $2.50. Made the trip worth it.
