Ah so it is an Olympic Torch...scale seems off though. I would call it a cauldron before a torch.
The funny think is when I asked the LEGO sales associate, they weren't sure what it was either.

I think two of those things are awesome.
1) brick fiesta in Houston. I went to the first brick fiesta in austin last year. It was great. This year promises to be bigger and better.
2) the minifig set - if it is exclusive like it says, could be a nice way to get some rare torsos.
AND if you attend the brick fiesta convention, you can use any convention discounts to get to your $100 for the free figs.
