Some people should remind LEGO that the Midwest is more than the 4 freaking stores in the Chicago land area.
It's always good that more LEGO stores are opening though. I can't complain that a new one is opening, I can only complain that a new one isn't opening right next door to me.

yeah there's those cities called St Louis and Kansas city, that don't have a store within 4-6 hours.
Then again, as long as Lego doesn't have a brick and mortar store in MO, I do not pay sales tax on S@H

When this opens, I will be less than an hour from a LEGO store.
Finally!
Oh and Michigan IS part of the Midwest. :D
I have inoperable cancer and am unable to work. Any gifts would be appreciated. Thank you!

You have to start paying tax when a company has a physical presence in a state. maybe purchasing the building or announcing that a store would be opened in MI counts as such

Guess they would have to start paying rent at the mall site to set up. must have been in july.
Anyway I am just glad I can go to a LEGO store, closest one was in Columbus.

About the online taxing - I had no idea about that - that's not going to be fun now that Troy is being opened, although on the other hand:
I will be about an hour away from this store, and am very happy to have something closer to Chicago (although it's always nice to go to Portillo's - if you don't know what that is, you should look it up :) I am hoping to get out of work to make it to the grand opening of this Lego store :)

Every town and waypoint on a highway should have a Portillo's!

JEEZ, dude! The Roosevelt Field store wasn't that bad, although I got there ridiculously early, and waited nearly as long... so I guess you wait one way or you wait the other... or you just don't get in ;)
