Honestly, I'm still very surprised that the Spaceman promo is September instead of August. If they do the two free holiday sets in October and November again, it's going to be really hard to also justify them after the Spaceman in September.

If it were $50 I'd have made multiple buys to get a few. At $99 I'm not sure I could justify even two.

Excellent. Good job TLG. I need the white classic spaceman.

The holiday set was getting worst, for example, I was not excited with the Truck from last year. Thus, I prefer to focus on picking up the spaceman.

So the Spaceman freebie comes with a spaceship right? I mean in June you got the entire balloon cart poly when you spent $75 and it came with 2 figures and a build. This appears to just be the spaceman and a small robot. Not worth spending $100 for. Heck the chima thing at least includes a vehicle and you only need to drop $50 to get it.
Who is General Failure and why is he reading my hard disk?

In addition to the Spaceman and the accompanying robot, there's a booklet with a timeline of Space sub-themes and minifigures. Not saying that makes it definitely worth the $$$, but it's something.

Doesn't the spaceman and chima poly overlap, so if you spend $99 you get both?

Yea, they should. The Chima lasts from August 25th until September 14th, and the Spaceman is for September 1st until September 14th.
So any purchases between the 1st and 14th for $99 or more should get you both, assuming they still have them in stock.

Thanks for posting the calendar. I wish the spaceman was red I got the white spaceman on a magnet a few years back. That came with a $75 purchase. I don't need another white one.

I walked into my Lego store not expecting to spend the $99, but I saw and grabbed the 70404 big castle and 21020 Trevi Fountain both in the 20% damaged box pile and now that I have the spaceman in hand I am glad I got him. And yes I got the chima poly as well but that is rather dull in comparison.
