I'm not too into the solar sailer since it has no sails and a bit too expensive. But like you, i want only the speeder.TClone wrote:I agree -- i want the Magnaguards and also Dooku's speeder.legitimatealex wrote:I considered buying that set vs a castle line set (Drawbridge Defense I think) and the only reason I could find to buy the Solar Sailor were the two robot guards. I really liked them but the $40 Drawbridge Defense had more minifigures and I believe more pieces. It's a must have if you're a Star Wars collector but if you're like me who just goes with the sets he likes for whatever reason, it's not all that great.

Only place it appears to be left is S@H. All other places online seem to be sold out
Re: Discontinued LEGO Star Wars Sets - 2010
Saw them at walmart the other day ;) I think stores do not restock the older sets as often as the new ones.stevenli wrote:Only place it appears to be left is S@H. All other places online seem to be sold out

I just saw a few at Target looking for clearances... of which there were none.
Re: Discontinued LEGO Star Wars Sets - 2010
I've been to several stores and only 1 of the walmart had them. The other ones were stocking up on hoth bp's.

The one at the Poughkeepsie Galleria mall. There were probably 5 or 6 of them at least, but they were full price.slacker wrote:how much and which target?

The republic gunship is already $180 and at-te is $129 at bricklink. Did anyone got a few extra before they got sold out? I can see the gunship going above $200 by Christmas.

I'm surprised they discontinued it while the Clone Wars series continues to pump out episodes. This is an iconic ship in the CW series, you see them (and the AT-TE) in nearly every episode. Surprised they would discontinue both at the same time. I look for these to two sets to become fairly expensive over the next year or so.

Man now I really wish I had bought the gunship, but sadly I didn't think it would get discontinued.

Any new news on what will be discontinued? Other non-star wars theme maybe?
Re: Discontinued LEGO Star Wars Sets - 2010
It makes me sad to think that I could have picked up the Republic Attack Gunship (one of the few PT ships I actually like) had I only come out of my dark ages a couple of months earlier!
More relevant to this thread, are there any solid news regarding 10188 Death Star being discontinued? It's been out for nearly 2.5 years now and I am tempted to get one, despite the price.

+1. It would be great to have sticky/pinned thread for sets that are about to be discounted, but for all themes.gabriellee11 wrote:Any new news on what will be discontinued? Other non-star wars theme maybe?

Brickset.com has a list of what is discontinued on their site. You can go under the Buy tab and then click on the lists of sets. You might all ready know this but, I thought I would put it out there.gabriellee11 wrote:Any new news on what will be discontinued? Other non-star wars theme maybe?

what _WILL BE_ and what _HAS BEEN_ discontinued are two very different questions.smilyremhof wrote: Brickset.com has a list of what is discontinued on their site. You can go under the Buy tab and then click on the lists of sets. You might all ready know this but, I thought I would put it out there.

Re: Discontinued LEGO Star Wars Sets - 2010
Employees at my local Lego store keep saying the 10188 Death Star has been discontinued, meaning they're not making them anymore and that they expect them all to be gone before the end of the year. This would jibe with the Christmas catalog which says "Limited Quantity"....but contrasts with reports on the various forums that say they'll keep it in production for another 1-2 years. I'm not sure what to think, but as soon as I have the money to get one, I probably will.

Phoned up Lego today and they say that they will be doing the death star in 2011, although someone else might get a different story.
