Mirage

Post by Nannan » Wed Jun 29, 2011 8:16 am

Here’s the latest collab between Tyler and me called Mirage, I know we just posted Oasis here recently, but don’t be fooled into thinking we built a new diorama in just two weeks. Mirage was built over the course of 6 months. It’s inspired by the concept of a sanctuary in the sky built without baseplates. Thus, the form of this diorama is the main highlight.

High in the sky, the guardians of the seven virtues watch over and protect the world below from falling into a sinful abyss.

I don't know if it's just me, but your shots look like they were made in legocad or some other program. Then I start to zoom in on details and it looks like the real deal. It's probably just me, I thought this with your Oasis project also.

I looked at your flicker account and enjoyed all the little details scattered around the environment. It seems the colonization efforts have gone so far as to wipe out all local fauna while replacing them with decorative plants instead...

Good job.

Very nice, I like the colors you chose. I also like that it's multi-layered and not just flat walkways. Great job guys.

Cool, has a SG:Atlantis or Kamino look to it.

I am speechless......... :o for one hour.

A piece of elegant art. The color pattern is a very good match.

i encourage anyone in central texas to scoot down to brick fiesta on sunday. this MOC alone is worth the price of admission. it is waaaaaaaay better in person. trust me! you won't be disappointed by this and all the other cool stuff there.

Thanks for the comments, I'm glad that many people saw it at BrickFiesta, including at least one TnB member :) If you couldn't make it, Tyler and I have plans to display Mirage at Brickworld next year in Chicago.
