Very cool. I know a bunch of people in my family will want one or more. Any idea of the price?

For a 1200 piece set? Surely you jest. It got to be more that $150. Or even higher in Canada.

I'm guessing , since it is non licensed (unless NASA counts) that it will be $110 to $140 USD since there looks to be a lot of large pieces , and that blows the 10 cents a piece ratio out of the water. But i like it a lot , and compared to a Star Wars set of comparable size this is going to be a bargain

With the prices lately, i'll go with $150. We're lucky if we get it under $120 at the magic price-piece ratio at a dime per piece.

The solar panels, detachable fuel tank and booster rockets are awesome. But its a bit too sad the Space Shuttle program will end this year. :(

$99.99 American!!!! $129.99 Canadian!!!!!! Holy Incredible Price Batman!

Assuming the original guess made was talking American Dollars, I must now humbly eat my words. Good guess.

I will now be getting several. At that price, I can have my own shuttle fleet. :D

Check out this video of Simon Kent, creative lead designer for LEGO, talking about the shuttle - it really throws into relief the massive scale of this set.

The price is really surprisingly great for such a massive set. I'm really looking forward to it. I had the original Space Shuttle set with the launchpad a long time ago, so this will be a welcome addition to my new collection.
