Perhaps that was the plan all along!

That isn't really much of a difference TBH, very similar and disappointing, they should have one something more different. I wasn't tempted to get any of this theme anyway though.

The CMF versions are the friendly, more comical versions. Its nice to get more ferocious versions, even of they are similar.

At least there are re-printed. It is better than nothing. We can't expect too much from TLG or we will be very disappointed.

Comparing to the "what-so" re-printed from VIP Exclusive Minifigure Set, this Monster fighters face expression and torso are better than I thought.

I like the CMF frankenstein headpiece better. I picture frankenstein with a big brow, not big bushy eyebrows. :eh:

Exactly how would LEGO have made them "more different"? There are only so many different ways to make monsters that look like monsters.

The YouTube video has been removed, but there are pictures starting to surface from the 2012 Nuremberg Toy Fair (going on right now.) One of the sets features a train (9467 Ghost Train) - I think I might spy some new train parts!

Interesting... That hammer in the dude's hand looks not unlike like Mjolnir. Thor figure preview right there.

A lot of the minifigs getting leaked from this line look really cool.

I agree for the most part these figs are really cool, I even kind of like the oversized wolf head, but those Wolverine claws are a disapointment. As much as it pains me to say, I think the claws on the Mega Bloks Wolverine were a much better design. These look like he is holding a rake or a gun with three barrels or something.

Everything else I have seen though is great.

I own all of those sets. Loved all the monster figures. I am hoping the new sets are even better.

They better put a Godzilla type monster in this theme.

Wow, Dracula's Castle is amazing. IMO, the best "evil-bad guy" Castle TLG has ever made. Step aside Skeleton Tower, there's a new big boy among Dark castles! TLG is really making my wallet hurt! The theme probably won't last longer than 6 months to a year so I could see this castle becoming VHTF quick.

I hope this theme sticks around for abit with new additions, but I am also skeptical of the longevity of this run. Would be cool to see more sets come about down the road, especially lower priced ones (as I'm mostly interested in the minifigs). But i guess in the meantime let's see how this one turns out, and how that zombie set will look.

Exactly, beats the pants of LOTR. The more vampires the merrier, and the Creature is freaking sweet.

So here is a link with some prices it seems (especially excited about the price of swamp monster set), I'm guessing this is in USD

http://www.shocktillyoudrop.com/news/16 ... r-fighters" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Also this great link that has video walkthroughs of the Monster Fighters sets which makes things helpful for visualizing the sets... again the swamp monster is revamped (no pun intended) from previous photos, and the Frankenstein set looks great (the mad scientest is also different from CMF)
