Wow, it seems like the (almost) three years since it was released went by pretty quickly. I kind of expected it to have a five year production run like the ISD.

Wow thats pretty quick for a ucs set to be discontinued... they should make it last a little longer...

A big set like this is a gamble for LEGO. Had it not sold well, they would have taken a big loss on it. I'm surprised they kept it around as long as they did, the sales must have been ok, or I suspect it would have been withdrawn sooner.

I would have loved to have one in my collection, since I don't have a Falcon (other than the mini, which I didn't like much) and it is my favourite ship of all time, but the price! Wven when they knocked it down by 25% for a short time, I just couldn't justify the cost.

They now have a midi scale falcon exclusive to wal mart for sale for $50. That way u don't need the $700 falcon set.

So did you actually purchase the set or no? They also offered free shipping along with it if you were the few people that used the coupon bug code to get the falcon for $0.01.

Actually, the midi scale has the looks of the ucs falcon. But the details compared to that is a big difference.

I wish I could have got one when they were on sale for $350. But it just too hard to justify that much to my wife for Lego.

I think they are still on sale at walmart for $399. A bit expensive than they were on sale at shop at home. But its still decent.
