New York Toy Fair 2012 – LEGO Prices & More Pics from FBTB

FBTB has done a great job covering this year’s New York Toy Fair 2012 again. Be sure to check their FBTB Flickr Photostream as they have more and better quality LEGO pictures and info from the LEGO Toy Fair. So far, they have uploaded LEGO Superheroes, LEGO Lord of the Rings and LEGO Star Wars. Most of the sets will be available in June while Star Wars sets will be available in August.

For the Summer LEGO Wave, it looks like LEGO Star Wars will be hit hard on prices including 9499 Gungan Sub for $69.99 USD / $89.99 CAD and 9516 Jabba’s Palace for $119.99 USD / $149.99 CAD. In comparison to these sets, 9525 Pre Vizla’s Mandalorian Fighter ($39.99 USD) and 9515 Malevolence ($119.99 USD) looks like a way better deal (still expensive, but tolerable) with more pieces but of course, lesser sought after minifigures. I guess you have to pay a hefy sum between new LEGO Star Wars minifigures and LEGO pieces!

Well, it just gets worst when you now only get a motorcycle and 1 minifigure in 6865 Captain America’s Avenging Cycle for $12.99 USD / $15.99 CAD. Our suggestion is to start saving your money now as we’re about to head into one of the most expensive LEGO Summer ever!

New York Toy Fair 2012 LEGO Exclusive Minifigures

FBTB is reporting that there’s a couple of cool LEGO Exclusive Gifts once again for attendees to the New York Toy Fair this year. First up, there’s the exclusive LEGO Darth Maul in a polybag similar to the other packaged minifigures like LEGO White Boba Fett. Nice little LEGO Star Wars gifts for stocking stuffers or birthday parties!

Up next, there’s also two LEGO Avengers Marvel Superheroes exclusive minifigures including Captain America and Ironman. As reported by FBTB, these ones will most likely be truly exclusives to the 2012 New York Toy Fair Collector’s Preview Event as the LEGO Darth Maul minifigures will probably be available later to the public.

The New York Toy Fair 2012 has begun and pictures are already surfacing! There’s pictures of LEGO Avengers from Marvel Superheroes at Marvel.com, LEGO Star Wars 2012 Summer wave from The Brick Show and Sir Steve’s Guide, LEGO Lord of the Rings at Comic Book Movie, LEGO Monster Fighters at Toy News International. London LEGO Toy Fair 2012 Reveals Some Pictures & Info

The London Toy Fair has started today and there’s lots of LEGO Summer 2012 sets being revealed. Unfortunately, pictures were not allowed for the sets but you can read different descriptions of them from many other sites including Brickset, FBTB, Blogmatic and Bricks and Books. Thanks to everyone who contacted us about it.

Continuing with the success of the LEGO Batman Video Game, TT Games and The LEGO Group has announced that LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes will be released beginning Summer 2012. Available on all major platforms including Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, PC, Nintendo DS, Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita. Below is the Press Release for the game. (via FBTB.net)

Batman is back to save Gotham City and the action will only build from here! Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, TT Games and The LEGO Group are teaming up once again to announce that LEGO® Batman™ 2: DC Super Heroes will be available beginning Summer 2012 for the Xbox 360® videogame and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system, the Wii™ system, and Windows PC, as well as the Nintendo DS™ hand-held system, Nintendo 3DS™ hand-held system, and PlayStation®Vita handheld entertainment system. Again, no need to worry about availability as I’m sure they will all be available sometime at Target, Wal-Mart and Toys R Us in USA or through various newspaper promotions in the United Kingdom. A new never before seen DC Comics LEGO Superheroes set known as LEGO Superheroes 6857 The Dynamic Duo Funhouse Escape has just been revealed! FBTB.net is also reporting that LEGO Shop at Home now has this set listed with an expected shipping date on December 15, 2011.

Price is $39.99 USD and there’s 380 pieces making this set more towards the now rare golden $0.10 per piece/price ratio. Looks like a pretty cool set as it even comes with 5 of the main characters including Batman, Robin, The Joker, The Riddler and Harley Quinn! Speaking of Super Heroes, the LEGO.com microsite is now live as well.

Variety has an article regarding the upcoming LEGO Super Heroes theme. (via Brickset) According to the article, Warner Brothers and LEGO will distribute 200 LEGO Superman Minifigures to New York Comic Con attendees which runs from October 13-16. The new LEGO Super Heroes 6860 Batcave will also be revealed during Comic Con 2011.

As a little teaser, they have an image of the LEGO Superman Minifigure as well as a picture of the 2012 LEGO Batcave 6860 set. All LEGO DC Comics sets are scheduled to be released January 2012. Please note that prices are based on our estimates only.

I’ve been quite busy the past few days so you may have noticed that news has been a bit slower than usual. Thanks to everyone that sent an email in or posted about it in the forums. From the emails and posts I’ve been reading, it appears there are more rumors besides the LEGO Star Wars ones we previously mentioned.

Graham from All About Bricks has sent an email in a couple days ago regarding the other 2012 new sets rumors. Apparently, there will be also be a new 2012 Friends theme aimed at girls and a new Dino, Jurassic Park style theme as well.

SSDC 2011 have revealed more Warner Brothers DC Comic Minifigures that is scheduled to be released in January 2012 as the “LEGO Super Heroes” theme! Flickr user jpoglesby have uploaded pictures (from meat1980) of Batman, Catwoman, Joker, Poison Ivy, Superman, and Wonder Woman all in LEGO minifigure form.
