On Thursday, March 15, LEGO Brand Stores in United States, Canada and United Kingdom will be having a fun little event for St. Patrick’s Day. If you can find the “LEGO 4-Leaf Clover” (Shamrock) at the LEGO Store, you can get some suprise savings! You can also enter a draw for your chance to win your own “LEGO Pot of Gold” (US and Canada only).
Last year’s suprise savings was $5 off $25. What could it be this year? Happy St.Patrick’s Day and good luck!
This week from March 16-22, Zellers Canada will be offering 20% off all small LEGO Ninjago sets (reg.$12.99-$39.99). If you have HBC Mastercard or Credit Card, you can save an additional 10% off from March 16-18 (Friday-Sunday). This would work out to be a net savings of 28% off.
As noted earlier, these weekly sales are no longer valid at liquidiation stores. All prices at liquidiation stores are not stackable with any other sort of promotions including HBC, SPC, Senior Day, etc.
As a reminder, most of the first wave Zellers stores will begin their liquidation clearance tommorow. However, it appears that some stores have begun their liquidation early. Forum member HallwayOrchard reports to us that his store in New Brunswick has already put all toys (including LEGO) for 20% off. As noted on their website, remember that liquidation stores will not honour any sort of other promotions or discounts and all sales are final.
20% off is a good start for LEGO Liquidation, but I’m sure the discount will get better. The tradeoff however is that the longer you wait, the smaller the selection. We all know the LEGO selection at Zellers isn’t the greatest, so lets hope the discount makes it quickly to 40-50% off before all the good stuff is gone!
LEGO Shop at Home United States and Canada is now offering FREE Shipping on orders above $75. You can also stack this offer with the Double VIP points promotion which ends in 3 days! Great time to pick up the new 10224 Town Hall set for $199.99 in US and $249.99 in Canada. Don’t forget you can also now get a free LEGO Master Builder Academy Poster (US only) with any LEGO Master Builder Academy Purchase.
If you are from United Kingdom, spend £50 and you can get free delivery, free mini Tie Fighter set as well as double vip points. Double VIP points also ends on March 15 while the free delivery and tie fighter set promotion is good until March 31st.

If you are not aware yet, Zellers Canada will be starting their first wave of store liquidation starting from March 8-16 depending on your store. Everything in their stores must go so this may be your time to grab some LEGO bargains! All of these stores will be closed sometime in June 2012. Complete list of stores here.
For those that do not know, the top performing Zellers stores leases have been purchased by Target (US). These Zellers stores will be converted to Target sometime in 2013 and 2014.
Toys R Us Canada Online is now carrying two Zellers/Target exclusive sets including 8128 Cad Bane’s Speeder and 7213 Off-Road Firetruck & Fireboat. This probably has something to do with Zellers shutting down and Toys R Us took the remaining stock that LEGO was planning to distribute to Zellers. I’m not sure who would buy these sets at full price though. Even LEGO Shop at Home is having a hard time moving them at 40% off!
